Mission Hospitals Child Development Center

Was referred here by mission since I had a premie baby. They just wanted to monitor his growth since he was early. The first few visits went very well! We loved the doctors there! I finally asked why we had to keep going if they kept saying he was doing fine.(driving an hour each way for them to play with my baby for 30 minutes tell me he's fine then me drive an hour back home) The nurse informed me It was not mandatory but said she would talk to the doctor. By the time the doctors came in they immediately started diagnosing my son with all sorts of stuff .He was all of a sudden no longer passing any test they given him. That he was barely at motor skills of his age. Yet the appointment two months ago he was scoring the motor skills of an 18 month old. Yet all of a sudden my baby was failing everything.They actually suggested me coming in way more often instead of less or not at all like I was hoping. I got a second opinion immediately. My baby is fine. Nothing wrong with him . None of those evaluations they had for him was correct. Spoke to several other moms in the community who had the exact same story. The second you mention wanting to "graduate" from those appointments all of a sudden your baby is failing. Sounds like an insurance scam to me 🤷‍♀️

This used to be an amazing daycare in ASHEVILLE for Mission Hospital staff until Bright Horizons got the contract from HCA. Management is sneaky, non compassionate and unskilled. My child had been at this daycare since she was 12 weeks old. She was loved and supported by the staff until that staff quit due to Bright Horizons being a horrible company. When my child was 4 years old, the new management brought me into a surprise meeting under the guise to “check in with my child” only to tell me my child was being kicked out, that same day, because they couldn’t deal with her ADHD. I had no time to find a new daycare putting my job at the hospital in jeopardy.
