I have never had a child this young in childcare before, so I was very nervous about putting my little one in at only 8 weeks old! I’m happy to say that there was no need to fear! I am very pleased with all of the staff at Cadence Yelm, 2! They put my nerves at ease and my little one seems so happy to be there and is always content at pick up! The infant teachers are always so nice and welcoming! Definitely recommend!!!
I want to share that my family and I have gone through some challenging times lately. This daycare helps hold doors, always has a smile on their face, great communicators calls when there is an issue. My kids have grown in their milestones. Christine has such a big heart, has listened to my concerns and has been supportive to me as a single mom. In addition, Christine has made accommodations base on my kids needs and overall this is a fantastic place to bring your kids.
Parents please seek care for your children elsewhere. When my daughter first started at Cadence Academy, things seemed to go well. However, I soon began noticing that during drop-offs, some children were visibly ill and still attending. This led to my daughter, who only attended twice a week, frequently getting sick. In addition, nearly every visit resulted in an incident report—she was regularly hurt by other children. When my husband and I raised our concerns, we were told that the teacher had her back turned while assisting other children and couldn’t intervene in time. We were informed that the classroom had a 1:10 teacher-to-student ratio. Concerned for our daughter’s safety and the broader quality of care, my husband began advocating for a lower ratio at the state level through DCYF. We informed the center’s director of our efforts, and she expressed support. However, a week later, we received a sudden email from the regional director terminating our daughter's enrollment—sent the night before she was scheduled to attend daycare. We were fortunate to have emergency care through an au pair, but the last-minute nature of the termination created unnecessary stress. The email cited “unsettling comments” made to staff—something we found deeply surprising, especially after the local director had encouraged our advocacy in person. The timing and tone of the termination felt unprofessional and retaliatory. We were very disappointed in how this situation was handled, especially by the regional leadership. If you have flexibility or alternative options, I would recommend considering other childcare providers. ***In response to owner*** Thank you for your response. However, if providing excellent care and valuing every family truly mattered to you, you would already know how to contact me directly. It's disappointing that only after a public review you suggest I reach out. If you’re genuinely interested in making things right, take the initiative and contact me personally. Should that happen, and the conversation reflects real respect and accountability, I would consider revisiting my rating.
I cannot believe how wonderful this daycare/ preschool program is. The teachers make sure everyone is safe and happy. The meals are nutritious. They have been phenomenal about working with my two special needs daughters. They are very structured and provide great support for the parents. I love the Kaymbu system. We get pictures of our children and detailed summaries of how their day went/ care. The director has been very supportive, reasonable, and respectful. Has been more than willing to troubleshoot any challenges my girls face. I cannot recommend this place enough. My children are my everything. Seeing them so happy and well cared for makes me feel so joyful. Thank you cadence.
I’m a first time mom with family in another state. I was so nervous for my baby to start daycare at 4 months old especially because she was going through sleep regression, refusal of bottles and separation anxiety and did I mention I was starting a new job. I will say these women are definitely professionals with kind hearts because my girl has made major strides in just a short time. They put all my fears to rest and have given me peace of mind! They’ve even taught me some tricks! My baby girl is now actually way ahead of where I expected her to be and loves her teachers♥️ I get updates, pictures and videos of her days at daycare and she’s always smiling! Christine is the director and she’s just as amazing as her staff, always helpful and understanding when things change. I definitely recommend to anyone, but especially new moms with concerns!
