The worst daycare ever. I give it one star because I can’t give less. Don’t take your children there. My son went there five years ago, and every single day he arrived and left crying. They kept telling me, “You have to give him time to adjust,” until one day I went to pick him up, and the look on his face was sheer terror. I never took him back after that. Those were the worst three weeks—he cried every single day, and I thought it was because he was struggling to adapt. He was very young and barely spoke at the time, which is why I decided to enroll him for a few hours a day to help him communicate more. Back then, he never told me anything about what was happening, as he didn’t know how to express himself. My son is seven years old now, and he tells me everything they did to him. I find it unbelievable how he can still remember it all—it must have been that traumatic. The least one of the teachers did was humiliate him by saying he had mucus and needed to clean himself. Since he didn’t know how to do it, she stood him in front of the school and showed the other kids, making him feel ashamed and humiliated. The staff was incredibly unpleasant and rude. It’s too late now, as many years have passed, but I feel so much anger and frustration at not being able to do anything. Thank God I pulled him out of there. This daycare should be shut down, and all the teachers should be fired.
Both my daughters attended the Mini Me located on Coral Way and 122 Ave. I am deeply grateful to everyone that works here for their love and professionalism. I had the peace of mind of knowing that my children were taken care of and to me this was/is priceless. Their staff is like family and to this day, both our girls often ask to go back to say hi to their teachers even though it has been a while since they graduated. Their facility is clean and organized, and their administration is very efficient. Highly recommended!
My experience with Mini Me has been fantastic. The place is very clean and everyone is very nice. Teachers are very professional and kids really learn. My daughter just graduated from VPK and she loves the place. There is no one day she wants to stay home, that means she feels good and enjoy it there. The food is homemade, and they eat very healthy. I don’t have one bad thing to say. I hope they keep it up. Congratulations to all the staff that works in Mini Me. I am going to miss you all.
I live in the building next to this daycare. I see from the balcony everything of this daycare. The teachers are louder than the kids, scream bad words to them in spanish all day when they are not doing what they are told. These teachers put music so loud I can hear from inside my apartment, poor kids ears and the problems they'll have because of music so loud so close. On top of that, music mostly for adults, latin music and other, that I question sometimes if its appropriate for such little children. Bachatas, cumbias and worse the words of these songs they don't even put the clean versions. Thankfully maybe some kids don't understand the songs. I even saw one of them pulling one of the kids by the ear. Not a place I would trust at all with kids of my own. The teachers are just there to have their own parties, sometimes the teachers seem to be having all the fun, while the poor kids seem confused as to what's happening half of the time.
Awesome!!!! I am a teacher and I know first hand how well designed the curriculum is at that school. The teachers are caring and have a strong background in education. My son has been going there since he was 2 yrs. old and he loves it. The teachers do have an accent, but they teach in English and in Spanish. They are learning all their subjects, the facilities are impeccable, the food is nutritious, the entire staff is very loving. He is going to come into VPK knowing how to read and write. They also get to participate in many field trips and activities throughout the year that support the children's vocabulary. The children there are well behaved. They are taught good manners.
