We like playing at the Y during day time hours during the week. We are retired so it is a fun way to get exercise with other players that may also be free during that time of the day. The YMCA provides two nets, paddles, and balls. We have the gym to ourselves most of the time. We set up the portable bleachers to block the balls from going all over the place.
We asked why they dont put the nets up so these kids can play a fair game on both sides, was told i was being rude. It was a simple question. Was told we haven't put them up in 5 yrs . They don't work. Just pure lazyness.
When you’re not around, the district manager and some of her employees will harsss your kids and treat them rudely. And they will deny it.. watch your kids . My son with a speech therapy problem got told “don’t play dumb “ by one of the employees. And according to them they have no idea which employee it was .. (yeah ok) The pool are is ok but they never have the slide on. Gym is small.
I can't express how appreciative I am of our local YMCA the staff are all wonderful and it is a great place to work out with all ages of people. It begins to feel like home away from home!
Swimming instructors are clueless and rude. Expected better from the YMCA, but after my child was ignored all class session, and management complaining at the end of class we're done. Expectation 1: Interact and start showing our child different activities in the water. My child and husband were treated as outcasts, and the instructor made no effort to introduce themselves or work with my child. Next just like last week he asked for the same basket of toys to play with. Both staff members rolled their eyes at us this week and one responded, "We only do that for classes." We paid for the intro-class and the instructor didn't even know who we were, never interacted with my child or made any move to have contact or teach him. Not giving them any more of my business, and beware this YMCA is at best a 1-star.
