I have been a member of the MWC Y since 1986 joined to make some changes in my life style. I have met a lot of good people and some are very close friends. The staff has always been helpful and friendly. I know the Y provides a lot of good services for adults and children. The MWC YMCA has been a blessing for me and the community.
Very nice and clean place everywhere I turned someone was cleaning.Front deal people was nice. Melody gave me a tour answered all my questions. I'm excited for me and my son to join
Random lady interrupted my workout (about 40 mins before closing)to tell me I wasn’t allowed to wear a sport bra, after 3 other woman had the same thing (I’m African American, they weren’t) I definitely felt discriminated against! I’ve always worn sports bras for years going here!! Almost my whole life and they decided to pick on me only. Won’t be coming again and my membership is as good as cancelled.
Went for water aerobics for the first time. Absolutely loved it the teacher was amazing. Everyone was so friendly. Will definitely be back.
When I went into the facility it was not welcoming. It was quiet and the front desk had no sense of humor.. The program is EXPENSIVE each month plus a large sign up fee... I was VERY thankful And the pool had off hours.. I went to the willa d Johnson rec center. It was 30 dollars cheaper a month. No sign up fees and the facility had welcoming front desk people and there were kids and it was fun and alive. The pool was sooo much fun. And they even let up take a tour and look around before we signed up. The YMCA didn't even offer a tour or anything. Then when I called the YMCA I asked for the website to write this review, they didn't even ask me if there was anything they could help with.. I remember the YMCA being great back when I was a kid however that has all changed. Look into other options before paying so much for this program.
