The teachers at MBIT often claim to care about their students and their futures, yet their actions suggest otherwise. Many of them demean and discourage students instead of supporting them. The administration, including the superintendents, tends to side against students even when they are not at fault. It seems as though their primary concern is maintaining enrollment and funding, not creating a healthy or supportive school environment.
I took the Plumbing Course Adult Evening School. My experience was delightful. Joe my teacher very patient, skilled, knowledgeable with lots of experience in Plumbing. I will definitely recommend Middle Bucks Institute of Technology for anyone who will like to learn a trade or get in the business. Also with hands on training you get to learn experience with tools in the classroom. Here are pictures taken from class Garbage Disposal Installation. Thank you, Joe.
So I'd like to include some of the details. I think that there were staff that I think should be fired. One of the counselors back used to threaten to call the police on me because a situation in the bathroom of having a panic attack. I do not think that's professional at all. Second, in the class I was specifically in, there was bullying and discrimination against some of the kids there. The teacher was absolutely no help at all instead would target the innocent students who did nothing. There was another staff member who also threatened about calling the cops and they did NOT care about the mental health of students. The staff should definitely be fired for this and the teacher including. I do not think allowing discrimination and bullying, along with threats is acceptable. There's more than this but I pointed out the main points. If you're going to this school, I warn you about some of the classes (not every) being horrible and staff/teachers.
I went to this school studying automotive. I loved it even though the teacher didn’t like me because i stood up for myself. I finished the 200 level with a 79% which is a failing grade here for me. After 2 years of hard work and schooling wasted with a grade of 79%. Changed my life forever. Mr. Scwartz is the teacher for that class. Hard to believe that 79% is a failing grade. On top of that my 79% grade would have been 80+ if he didn’t give me zeros on my multiple homework assignments for reasons like suspect you copying homework or doing homework in class and people copying my homework when it’s sitting on my desk and I’m working in the shop. Karma will come around for schwarz. A teacher with favorites and prejudice. Never would recommend this school
Not for students with IEPs/Special Education. Do not send your student here. Administration violates several PA Educational Codes and puts the responsibility of safety on the student by suggesting self-management solutions, while taking no real accountability or action themselves if an incident occurs. Our experience with teachers has been excellent but Administration needs to give them more support or change policies so everyone can learn in a safe environment.
