This park is great for the kiddos, only downside is that there are no swings. The staff is very nice for when you rent a room. Bathroom has a changing table

Loved this parks first time here and omg splash pad was actually on .on a weekday 9am we drove in just to look around so many options great for walking volleyball 🏐 and table tennis 🏓 very rare to find well kept and amazing playground very clean park .maintenance is on top of things here great job. ❤️And very helpful. Will return with my family.

This is a neighborhood park of approximately 10,000 sq. ft. or 0.6 mile featuring a playground, skateboarding area, walking trail, and a variety of exercise equipment. There is a water splash pad area for kids to enjoy which opens only during summertime from 10:00am through 5:00pm. They offer shelters for rent for birthday parties or other large gatherings where you can cook on the barbecue grill and enjoy with family and friends. Or bring a blanket and sit on the grass under a tree for shade. 😃 ONLY SERVICE DOGS ARE ALLOWED IN THE PARK!! Many parks in Miami were created out of reclaimed land which is one of the most cost effective ways to create new parks. Prime land is turned into developments while dirty land that was a trash dump or an incinerator site years ago gets cleaned up and repurposed as a park as is the case with Westwind Lakes Park. When Westwind Lakes Park was built the county discovered methane leaking from the ground caused by buried organic waste. A venting system was installed to make the land safe for a park. Today Westwinds Lake Park is a popular recreational destination for families with children. The park features a splash pad and large covered playground for outdoor fun. The park also has a skate park with two six foot quarter pipes, rails, launch and bank ramps, a wall ride, stairs and different sized hubbas, a ledge that angles down a set of stairs. A memorial to Columbia is also in Westwinds Lake Park. Kendall sometimes called Little Colombia, has a strong Colombian influence in its population, restaurants, and culture. The memorial highlights Kendall's deep-rooted connection to their Colombian heritage. Other park amenities include picnic pavilions with tables, outdoor fitness equipment, a paved walking course, sand volleyball court, and a recreation center that offers an afterschool program, school break camps for kids, active older adult, and fitness programs. Much more to this clean park than the pictures provided. The dual playground is awesome so little ones and older kids are welcome here. FREE Splash pad is open during summer times (limited times as well). Call the park for details. Skate area is awesome and well equipped but the kids skating usually curse a lot and the Skate area is located next to the playground. Running & walking trail with exercise equipment along the way. Soccer fields & volleyball court. Pavilions for party rentals.
