What Parents Say
This listing appears to be for Miami Dade College North Campus, not a preschool daycare. Reviews are mixed, with praise for welcoming staff, community activities, and affordable education, but significant criticism of outdated facilities, poor financial aid administration, ineffective academic advising, and bureaucratic processes.
It's a good school. Been here for a while, and acquiredan AA and a Bachelor’s. Some of the professors are INCREDIBLE and have the nature of an instructor - ready to teach and open. Then there are those who have insufferable attitude and spread misery. Pedro, I believe that's his name 😅, is the most amazing Organic Chemistry professor! Professor Andreina Jimenez is the biggest sweetheart and really helps you to under sciences! Professor Castro is a genius when it comes to business and management. While he is understanding, he keeps you accountable. These are just a few i remember on the top of my head but I had a few amazing Professors in this school. My only query is student Financials and how they are handled. Information could be available and there could be tangible proof of incoming payments, and they don't care. You'll be dropped and have to jump through space and back to get reenrolled in a class that they could have just kept you in, seeing as they can clearly see it is getting paid NEXT DAY. If its a system issue, then their system needs upgrading. Students have many anxieties attending college, and the one anxiety they should never have to deal with, is worrying about losing important classes because "that's just how the system works". Change it then! Make it efficient. That financial aid ENSURES that Professors are paid. So this has to be fixed in some manner. A singular extension of 72hrs in the first week, is NOT efficient nor is it helpful.
It's community college north campus. A lot of different activities during the weekend such as adopting a tree 🌲. The campus is not small. Different buildings can hold different events. The largest community college in Miami. It is developing and getting better
I wish I could give 10 stars to be honest. The service is so amazing and every one is hospitable. I always get greeted when I walk in and the snacks are always restocked and good. The president isn’t afraid to come out and help and overall a very welcoming atmosphere.
It is a beautiful campus, full of unique brutalist-style buildings that might need a little touch-up. I never see that many students (or staff) in there. I wonder how many actually attend this huge campus. The microbiology lab I go to has outdated equipment and sometimes it's hard to perform successful experiments on account of it. Last time the gas main was closed and we couldn't sterilize equipment, there was no one in campus to help our professor.
The campus is always so active ! So many resources to help students connect and network :)
