The Messiah Community is unique in my experience around the world. Unlike so many churches, they don't constantly tell you how you are doing "it" wrong. They welcome you in. "Serving God by Serving others" is not just their motto...they live it, through their outreach programs, through their helping in church programs and every day. Many of their church tee shirts have the following on them: No Matter what. how you look... how you speak... how you love... how you pray... how you vote... whether we agree or not, I'll love you, neighbor. It is VERY difficult to start an argument at Messiah... It is just a wonderful church community that loves and serves Jesus!
This is my church. I was Catholic once. I gave that up when I started high school. For many years, I wasn't anything. I wouldn't say that I was an atheist, but I took something of a dim view toward organised religion. For personal reasons, I decided to start going to church again. I am very glad that I chose this church. When my mother died, Pastor Reggie Tuck mailed me several books on coping with loss. It was great comfort to me. The atmosphere there is very welcoming, and I, well, don't look like the welcoming type! But I feel very much at home in this place.
It was a joy to worship with you this morning. The music was good-it was a pleasure to worship with a choir. The sermon by Pastor Suh was Biblical with a good sense of God's displeasure in lukewarm Christianity. I am pleased to know my son and family are part of your 'flock'.
We have a minister who preaches in the now. He knows his history and shares with all who opens their hearts and minds. He is a grest teacher of the UMC.
Great fellowship experience! Lively pastors and staff, great service in the Youth Center, Sunday 1y1am!
