We love the Meridian Ranch Rec Center. The staff is awesome. The facilities are fantastic. As a realtor and neighbour of the community for almost 8 years we spend a lot of time at the rec center, our kids enjoy the coaches for the homeschool group. It literally is our one stop shop! We love hosting our monthly Flick N Floats at the indoor pool throughout the year and getting to know our neighbours. Thanks to the staff for being AWESOME!
The Meridian Ranch Rec pool did great with the rental of the indoor pool for my son’s 2nd birthday!! The lifeguards were very watch of the young kiddos that came🎉🎉
They won’t open the aerobics exercise rooms to residence to work out in when there isn’t a group exercise class going on. And if you’re here trying to work out on a Saturday morning, you have to compete for space not only with other people trying to work out, but all of the families and kids here for basketball games. I even went upstairs to ask if given all the kids in the area they would open one of the rooms up and they said no. It’s not my job to enforce their rules or tell other people’s kids what to do. The least they could do is open up one of the rooms for free exercise.
I’ve been disappointed with my experience at this facility. The staff are unfriendly and unhelpful, making it difficult to enjoy the amenities. (edit: the staff was very friendly during my last visit) The place is poorly managed, and it shows. For example, the hours are very limited, especially for the pool, which is a major letdown. The basketball court is often closed due to organized games, leaving little opportunity for casual use. Additionally, the locker rooms are closed due to vandalism, and you need to rely on a staff member to let you in, which is incredibly inconvenient. Given that all residents pay into this facility, it’s frustrating to see how poorly it's being run, especially considering it's a non-profit organization. I expected much better service and accessibility. Overall, this place could be managed a lot better, and I hope they take these issues seriously.
Super bummed that the basketball courts are so often closed for organized sports instead of being available to residents who pay for this facility. My kids have been kicked off of the court by staff (just fairly rude) and coaches (extremely rude) of the teams using the courts. The hours are very seldom communicated and the rules are super unclear. When I moved here, I was told repeatedly that this facility is for residents and their guests only. I guess not. If paying was optional, I would join a different rec center.
