What Parents Say
Max's Playhouse receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from most parents, with particular praise for staff, Montessori-based curriculum, and children's developmental progress. One parent reported significant concerns about limited Montessori activities in toddler classrooms, unprofessional staff communication, and pressure regarding enrollment.
Absolutely love Max's Playhouse!!! My daughter has been going there for over 3 years now and she has blossomed from the start. In just a short time at Max's, my daughter took a GIANT LEAP with her speech, vocabulary, motor skills, gained more confidence and more independence, etc. We absolutely adore Brandy, Leah, Danielle and Audrey!!!!! Highly recommend this facility to anyone who is needing daycare or preschool needs ❤❤
I was the typical anxious mom who didn’t trust anyone with her first baby! Brandy and her team did so much to calm my nerves. My daughter started just going in the mornings, then transitioned to full days after we all got adjusted. I love the updates I get everyday (pictures/activities/nap time/meals). Mallie has grown so much socially and developmentally, and I love that it’s all Montessori based for all ages.
I went on a tour of this facility thinking the care was montessori based, well worth the 170/wk price tag. While there, I was told they don't do much Montessori based things until the preschool stages. None of the staff was overly friendly, the toddlers house had very little decor, colors or things for the kids to do. Books, blocks, dress up is all I saw. I was given a list of rules and requirements and told my child needed to start asap they would not hold her spot. I told them she could potentially start one of two days the following week, that being that being the last we spoke. I had several issues with paying the bill,, waiting on vouchers and my back up sitter not working out in case she got sick and decided last minute on Sunday that she wouldn't be going to daycare after all. The issue is I got a message from the daycare stating I was a liar and that they spent the day talking to the school to clear their name due to a miscommunication with my potential employer. What? Long story short, a professional teacher at this facility messaged a parent and pitential client and called them a liar, said I was rude and then told me they'd been turning kids away eat and right to hold my daughter's spot. Nothing added up, but I will no longer look to leaving my child in the care of adults who treat parents this way. Who knows how the kids get treated and how much lying goes on. I was a nanny for 17 years and a daycare teacher for 4 of those and I know things aren't perfect in these places but wow This experience blew my mind. When I emailed another teacher back she iced me and didn't have the courtesy to even respond. Glad I didn't send my child here.
All of my children have attended since they were babies and they love it! We love the teachers and the Montessori style teaching. Max’s offers a unique style of learning that the kids actually enjoy.
Our son loves going here and we have never had any issues with any of the staff members. Everyone is polite and keeps you informed. We recommend this daycare to everyone! It’s a great place to take your kids!
