My son has gone to Mini MAAC for almost 2 years and we LOVE it! Everyone from the owner and director down to the classroom staff has been amazing from day one. I feel like they truly care about my child but also my family. I won't be sending my youngest baby anywhere else (when she's old enough, that is!).
I’ve contemplated on writing this because I didn’t take a picture which I regret now looking back but I would want to know if it was my kid or if my kid goes there. I went in for a a tour today a Mini MAAC Childcare at 10:40 am and it was around outside playtime. I went in and the director Taylor was amazing I really liked the facility even got the paper work to sign him up. As I was leaving all the kids had got done playing outside but there was a little blonde boy about 2 years old (had a binky I think it was blue) that was left outside by himself , I waited and looked around there was no teachers. The doors were shut to the building. I had to call them and let them know that they forgot a kid outside. They immediately ran out, but just thought that was a little alarming especially with it being right next to I 40 and as a mom I would want to know.
My son has been attending for a year & a half now and I have no complaints. Within the last few months especially they have been making many improvements. They now use an app that doesn’t yet fully track daily activities but I am sure that is to come as they work out the kinks. I do enjoy getting to see photos of my son from the app. They have helped tremendously in his learning of shapes, colors, numbers and the alphabet. Hours of operation are perfect for a working parent & the staff always make me feel like they care about my sons well being. Affordable, great place to take your babies.
The location is convenient and that’s pretty much it. It’s not like other facilities where you’re able to see/ track your child’s daily activities. Most daycares now you can even watch their classroom live at any point during the day but they do not offer that, which I would be fine with if they gave us a daily activity sheet like we used to receive whenever I first started bringing him in April. They switched everything to Procare which I don’t mind at all many facilities use Procare but again it’s not used (here anyways) for tracking your child’s behavior, activities, lessons, how they are that day etc. so I genuinely have no clue how my son is all day unless I ask an employee but I learned quickly to stop asking them because they never have a clue what’s going on either or they seem like I am inconveniencing them. I’ve had issues with them not changing my son twice (it’s fixed now) but reoccurring they are refusing to open the door in the morning for us to be able to drop him off in the morning. Even when they see me or my family right through the window on the door. Also the staff is CONSTANTLY changing so they have tried to send home a little girl with me before, they didn’t even know who my son was. I try to cut them some slack since they do always have new people but it gets pretty ridiculous at times, especially I work 2 jobs I don’t always have time to be playing games in the morning at drop off or when I go to pick him up. I think the director is doing a good job everytime I speak with her she’s very sweet and understands my concerns, there is just still plenty of room for improvement from other staff. I will say though up until 5 minutes ago I wasn’t aware there was an assistant director until I got a message from the Procare app, again that just goes back to the staff constantly changing because I’ve only ever had direct contact with the actual director. I know my son is not in harms way when I leave him here every day so I’m grateful for that, it is just frustrating at times having all of these things add up.
Unfortunately Google won’t let you submit a review with 0 stars or I would!! Don’t take your kids here!!! These people are horrible. They allow the children in their care to be abused and turn a blind eye when they are made aware of the accusations with video proof!! Please take your babies anywhere BUT here if you want them safe! They should be shut down and the employee responsible needs to be arrested!!!
