I came to this food back a little over a week ago. Looking for vegetarian friendly choices and I did NOT leave empty handed. Through they have a shopping interval of once a month. They have daily items on the shelf behind the check in window; and they change daily, and are up for grabs so to speak. I came here specifically for my autistic fixation food, creamy peanut butter. I was delighted at their decisions to meet me halfway despite the quantity limitations on food items per household… If you need food on the daily and or a once a month; I definitely recommend adding this community service provider to your schedule and calendar.
Love COI! THEY LOOK OUT FOR ALL OF US INCLUDING OTHER RESOURCES. JAMIE WHO WORKS THERE IS A GEM WHO WORKS HARD AT HER JOB AND ALWAYS GOES ABOVE AND BEYOND HER JOB DESCRIPTION. THANK YOU COI FOR SHARING DONATIONS WITH US FOR HARM REDUCTION SERVICES!!! HIGHLY APPRECIATED AND STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO FAMILIES WHO WOULD BENEFIT FROM TEMPORARY HOUSING AND THEIR COMMITTED STAFF TO GIVE YOU THE SUPPORT YOU NEED.
Amazing one-of-a-kind resource center with wrap around service. Saved my life, helped me attain stability, create structure, and taught me how to meet more goals in a healthier, realistic way. When you're ready to do the work to change, they are waiting for you.
It wasn’t the best place for me everyone around me failed me . I was one of the few black people in the youth part at the time and one day it was only one staff monitoring the whole units at night and me and a few others got into it because one of the girls started talking about my cat. Then they called the police on me. If you’re black especially a black woman be prepared to have zero representation and deal with micro aggression and lack of others understanding you. They won’t. The place is so white washed they could never understand someone like you. I remember one time I had to cut my hair and a staff helped me she suggested I could wear the thing on top of my head to work …it was a bonnet. I hated it there. I’m so glad I’m in a better spot. I have proof I been there too.
They are a good place for people with his transition into their own housing. However, similar rules about the 4th of July and days out or not held properly for all residents. Also, my emotional service animals would not hurt anybody like some of the ones that are there currently. They helped me fill out some applications for rentals and got me into the step class. However they need to make pet owners follow the rules that are in the contract fully. Especially, since I got hurt at least four times. Also, there are people with wheelchairs and walkers who have been hurt by improper ownership of their emotional service 🐈 I had dog's🦴🐕🦺🐕🐩🐾 cat's, tarantulas, snakes, horses, and many more. Please pray for those who are hurt and living there currently.
