Cheap stuff at great prices! The Original Flea Market of Mayagüez is the best if you're looking for antiques, plants, farm-fresh produce and even electronics and second hand clothing. You can even eat food for cheap, there's some food stalls there with variety (remember it's mostly boricua style stuff, including cuajito, fritters, and pinchos). Recommended!
A great flea market. You can find some stuff at a reasonable prices. I usually go for the food, coconut water, the fresh locally harvested produce, and for buy plants. I consider that any tourist looking for interacting with locals and get an idea how Puerto Ricans live... this is a great place. Is open only on Sundays and gets crowded pretty fast but around noon vendors start leaving so you are better off coming early morning which is 7 or 8 AM.
There really wasn't anything interesting or different here. A lot of the items are used and worn, and most of everything else is nothing that you can't buy at any other store in Puerto Rico. Of course with any flea market, you can always find hidden treasures within the mix, but you definitely have to look really hard and you'll have a hit or miss with finding anything good. Mostly a miss. Parking was not difficult to find which is always a good thing.
It's ok...I went at 10am and they open earlier. I must have missed all the good vendors because I didn't see a good variety of different items.... most vendors sell the same things.. They close at 12pm.
It was a bit overcrowded. Pretty sure you can find anything here except furniture and appliances (didn't see any when i went by). There's variety of animals too. This is a typical Puertorrican window shop Sunday, it's pretty common to see these places in PR.
