Would NOT RECOMMEND!!! Malena only cares about money. She will call you over and over to pick up your child over things they get paid for. She has left me in a bind numerous times. All she sees is dollar signs. She will replace your kid with another just to get another registration fee! The school is too small. She charges and arm and a leg for everything. If she would let her staff run the show and GO home it would be a much better place. She is a very rude, fake, money hungry old woman. I feel so sorry for her employees!!
Malena's Mini School is an excellent childcare center. My daughter started at Malena's in the VPK program and currently attends Malena's all year round for after school care and summer camp. My son, who is now in highschool, also started in the VPK program at Malena's Mini School and attended until he was 8 years old. The teachers and staff are very friendly, caring, personable and attentive to the children. They teach the children accountability and responsibility all while having fun. Ms. Malena runs a tight ship in her childcare centers and employees the best teachers and staff, As a whole they understand the importance of teaching our youth morals and respect for themselves and for others.. Not only have I had the best experiences with my children attending Malena's Mini School, but I have also heard the same from many friends, co-workers and acquaintances.
My son has attended Malena's for almost a year now for after school care and for the summer program. The staff is excellent and I have never had a problem with them. During the summer program and school breaks such as spring break or Christmas they plan fun field trips for the kids and my son really enjoys it there.
Mrs Malena was very stuck in her ways about sticking to her program. She refused to work with my child on his behavior and whatever else was wrong. She suggested Child Find to me through early learning coalition in which i proceeded with testing for my son and even Child Find did not see anything wrong with his cognitive understanding and learning skills. My sister is a teacher on Hurlburt AFB and has worked with my son a lot and she found nothing wrong with him. I made suggestions when she asked for “help” and she refused to take them. She said a lot of very bad things about my child even went as far as to say that my 3 year old son “needs to do better”. Very unprofessional place of business would not suggest.
I absolutely LOVE this daycare! My little one attended there until I had a change in my job hours, and I miss it everyday. All of the staff is extremely friendly, and I felt like my little one was very well taken care of loved. I love that she had some outdoor time and even though she is only 8 months old, she was included in craft time. I highly recommend this place.
