MBC worships Jesus Christ; emphasizes knowing, obeying, and proclaiming God's Word, equipping members through faithful expository preaching of Scripture, grateful praise in worship, and cheerful fellowship. Affirms core evangelical doctrines such as the infallibility of Scripture, the Trinity, salvation by grace through faith alone. Rejects progressive ideas that sprouted much in the 21st Century. Thankful for God’s provision of a church family in Hawaii.
Traveling the world as a military kid and as an active duty service-member myself, I can honestly say that this is the healthiest church I’ve ever been a member of. Beautiful picture of love and truth living together in harmony! Worth the drive no matter where you live on the island.
Makakilo Bible Church turned Hawaii from being a surprisingly dark place for our family to being incredibly beautiful. The teaching of and faithfulness to the word of God is the best on island and the matching discipleship of ages children through adults second to none. Having lived all over the globe, we can attest to the rarity of finding churches like MBC where solid "orthodoxy" meets practical "orthopraxy".
This is no longer a pre-school, but the church is still fully functioning. We love our Church Family here. My wife and I have been members at this church for a year now; and before then we had attended irregularly for two years. From the time we first showed up, to the present day, the pastors and the members of this church have been kind, warm, and loving. So from an interpersonal perspective, we are deeply grateful for this church. But greater still is the commitment they hold to the reformed faith, congregational singing, expository preaching, missions, and prayer. Makakilo Baptist Church is a wonderful place to gather and worship on the Lord's day and beyond.
Excellent church based that teaches scripture based concepts. Has a Sunday School for both adults and kids. Has Adventure Club every Friday 630-800pm. Many family groups from which to pick are also available. Highly recommend!
