What Parents Say
Main Street University 4 Kidz receives mostly positive reviews praising caring staff, teacher investment in children, and a safe environment. However, some parents have concerns about tour policies that limit facility visibility, administrative changes that affected the facility's culture, and operational policies requiring medical notes for absences.
This daycare is absolutely amazing. I couldn't be happier with the care and overall service they provide on a daily basis. My son loves it here and his teachers are so invested in him and the other kids. They ask me about how he is doing in his doctors appointments and I feel secure sending my son here. The building is safe, and the entire staff is friendly. If you are looking for a place where you can rest easy knowing your kids are taken care of and the price is reasonable, this is the place.
My daughter has been coming since she was 1 year old. She will be starting kindergarten in August. Every teacher she’s had has been wonderful (Binka, Lisa, and Ronda). The owner Nancy is wonderful and so is the manager, Jennyfer. We love Dawn too, we love seeing her smiling face in the evening when we come to pick up our daughter. This daycare really cares about the kids and the families. I can’t recommend this place enough! We are so blessed to have found this daycare! Sammy Abernathy
I will lead by saying after "touring" we decided not to pursue services here. I put tour in quotations because I showed up in what appeared to be an alley type place for the tour and found out at the door you can't actually see where your child would be. In my opinion, it is not logical to schedule a tour if there is no tour to be given. If the rules are parents can't be there will children are, which is understandable, then never accept a tour during normal hours. With everything going on in the word today I would not trust any place that will not be transparent and open. I want to see where my kid will play and evaluate the cleanliness and structure. I mentioned my kiddo has autism and she said immediately this would not be a good place for her. Mind you my daughter is highly functional. However, I meant that if something happened, as we have seen in the news, I am not confident she would be able to communicate it back effectively. I am leaving this review for working parents who would have liked to know up front no tour and there are cameras but you are not allowed to see what is going on as with other facilities. This in my professional career is a red flag. Imagine taking a job without being given the full details or be able to see your working conditions. I doubt many would so would seem illogical to leave your kiddo at a place without a full evaluation.
This daycare is a drama headache. Not understanding that a working parent cannot answer their phone sometimes. Constant complaints about my child’s glasses (which are prescription) and also letting teachers work while they are sick. When Nancy was there full-time it was a great place. She is loving and understanding, however, when the new director took over, Jennyfer, it became a much less caring place and I felt it was about running the facility as a school rather than a daycare. Need notes for appointments and activities that the children will be absent for. I pay them to do a service so I shouldn’t have to tell them why my child isn’t coming in or need a note for such a thing. They get paid regardless if my child shows up or not. Also closed most holidays that other daycares are not which is hard for us parents who both work in the restaurant industry.
I know of two generations of children that enjoyed there experience at MSU For Kids so much they choose to intrust there childrens care and education at the same place and same teachers they have known and loved for years. From diapers to graduation.
