A Light Restored, A Legacy Revealed Yesterday, November 2nd 2025, marked a sacred moment in Main Street UMC’s story—and in my life. As dusk settled, we gathered to dedicate the newly restored lights in our bell tower. For over a century, the tower stood in quiet darkness. Few knew that behind its silence were stained glass windows—hidden gems that hadn’t been illuminated in more than 100 years. That changed thanks to a family who grew up in this church. Moved by memory and mission, they funded the restoration. And last night, for the first time in generations, those windows glowed with color and grace. It wasn’t just a lighting ceremony—it was a homecoming of light, legacy, and love.
Our 14 month old daughter has been attending the Mother's day out program at this church for about two months now. I can not say enough good about this program! First the hours that the children are kept are from 9:30am to 1pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. This was ideal for our needs. It is so much more than a simple childcare program. They have a highly competent staff, some of whom have been on staff their for decades, that will give your children individualized care. Their ratios are extremely low and they have developed a teaching curriculum that will have your child enter kindergarden at an advanced level. I cannot recommend this program enough!
I couldn’t possibly say enough good about this church and it’s preschool. The people are truly kind and generous. My child has attended school there and our experience was 100% positive. Everyone works hard to go above and beyond to create the best learning environment for my child and other children. Highly recommended.
