Madison Montessori School

Madison Montessori is a gem of Morris County. It consists of staff who were once parents (their kiddos attended and they loved it so much that they signed on to become staff) and also teachers who has stayed on for decades -- not because of some contract or tenure -- but because they love it here. I credit Madison Montessori with my lifelong love of learning. Personally, as a former student, I appreciate the Montessori approach to learning but as a parent, I'm so grateful to see it from a different perspective. I took my daughter to Madison Montessori for an introduction day (she loved school immediately) and I recognized Miss Terry (who was there back in the 80s when I attended). And, I got to see the school and how it matched up with my memories. I can only hope that local parents and children are able to experience this school first hand. All kids deserve an introduction to a life of learning that starts off with positive experiences and, in a school like this, a child is truly set up to love learning about themselves and the world around them.

Madison Montessori is truly a gem! Aside from its welcoming and nurturing atmosphere, the teachers are truly exceptional. I was blown away by the effort they put into appropriately challenging each student, based on his/her needs/interests. Additionally, their constant communication with families is commendable. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have become a part of such a wonderful community.

Madison Montessori School is a warm and nurturing environment for your little ones. Teachers and staff provide top notch instruction and gentle guidance to instill a lifelong love of learning. The student body comes from a caring group of parents from mostly Madison and neighboring Chatham. If we could do it all over again, would we enroll our child here? 100% Yes!

What a caring environment. My son has become a part of the MMS family since he was 2 1/2 yrs old. He is now 4 and has progressed in his ability to serve, respect, and participate with others. It has been wonderful to see how present the teachers are when they are with the children. The patience needed to observe the children in class and the willingness to capture each child's development has been seen in the staff through and through. Each child is uniquely appreciated, and my son definitely feels it. If you are familiar with the Montessori method, these ladies ACE it. I've looked into other Montessori schools and toured around, but MMS stood out for me because of their genuine way of following through with the traditional Maria Montessori way. And the love and care definitely shows. Their safety protocol was created carefully in case of anything during these uncertain times. I will not forget how tentative Jane and Laura were when sickness hit home for us. I would receive a message here and there, asking how we are doing. It was such an encouragement. The head of the school and the office staff are genuinly available for the parents in case of any questions which I appreciate since I tend to have those. And as a young parent myself, I truly sense the CARE they have for my son and us as a family... it's definitely a comfort, especially for first-time mothers! I truly recommend this school, even if Montessori is not a forte for you, you will not regret placing your child in a loving environment such as MMS for their beginning years of life!

There are things that you find in almost all the school but not so many of them are that successful to promote what Madison Montessori school choose as it's mission to teach children love of learning and self control in a very peaceful and loving environment
