Macfeat Early Childhood Lab School - Winthrop Univ.

We have a 3-year-old in the preschool program (Ms. Rosemary Agosto's classroom) and a 5-year-old in the kindergarten (Ms. Liz Porter's classroom). The teachers have lots of experience and are doing great at establishing authority in the classroom. Our kids love going to school and playing with their friends. At times, we have a hard time getting them to leave school, and they told us not to pick them up "too early." I love that they go outside twice daily, one hour in total, weather permitting. When it rains, they play inside the very spacious gym. The director, Ms. Melanie Sanders, is also great at creating fun school events where parents and grandparents can participate in pumpkin patch picking, musical performances, and other outdoor instructional/play gatherings. There is also an app where parents can send invites to birthday parties and where you get photos and messages from the teachers. I'm most impressed with the curriculum. For example, our kids learned about their "emotions" and how to best communicate with their peers and parents. Our oldest is also doing well with reading her "sight" words. I can highly recommend Macfeat for your child's education.

Excellent school! Highly experienced teachers that are knowledgeable, extremely patient, and creative. My son attended 4K and now is completing his Kindergarten year. Children are allowed to be expressive and learn in a fulfilling environment. Everyday I can observe a new skill he has learned. Teachers pay attention to the interests of their students and curate lessons from passions displayed.
