Worse experience I've ever encountered! My son ran out the class room because a parent left it open while picking up their child and they suspended him for a day! He was punished for their lack of supervision. I expressed my concerns regarding this harsh punishment to a toddler and Ms. Gleaton unenrolled him without any warning. My son came to school and was turned away and left in tears. This has been the most unprofessional and irrational group of people I've ever seen. We were left without child care without any warning! She took my concerns personal and labeled it "conflict of interest"!!!! Shame on Ms Gleaton and the people who back her.
I have my daughter in the 3-year-old classroom, and her English has improved so much thanks to Ms. Anaya. I am forever grateful for her patience, dedication, and care. I also want to thank the rest of the daycare staff, including the office team, for always being helpful and supportive. We truly appreciate everything you all do!
I just wanted to respond. Mrs. Gleaton it’s considered factual because I have witnessed everything myself. I have no reason to lie and I have definitely shared my concerns with you many times. Yes staff complete “mandatory training hours” required by the state. That’s not what I’m talking about. Your staff need more than the required training hours. In my PROFESSIONAL opinion (my credentials speak for itself) your staff need to be trained in classroom management, positive redirection, properly documenting accidents/incidents, lesson planning, developmentally appropriate practices for their age group, and how to use the GELDS just to name a few. I told teachers that worksheets are not developmentally appropriate. I told Mrs. Lettie as well and she said that’s just for PreK. I tried explaining to her why and she still didn’t listen. Yet, the 3 year old teacher stopped me and asked for my feedback and I asked her what quality rated told her about worksheets and she was told don’t use them. The same thing I said. I have been a trainer (independent contractor) for the state of Georgia and I guarantee you if the consultants or licensing was a fly on the wall they would say the same thing. I’m giving my professional feedback/opinion based on my expertise. If childcare licensing or your consultant would look at the accident reports your staff has written they would confirm what I’m saying. Mrs. Lettie does not understand English good sometimes and she shouldn’t be the one signing off on them. I suggest that you do trainings with your staff on documenting accidents/incidents and use the ones that I have written as an example. Also, how long has the Assistant in PreK I had to get her CDA? She’s had more than enough time. It’s not fair to those children or parents to leave someone that inexperienced in that classroom who has more than enough time to get her CDA. You literally asked me could I observe her the other day because you had an audit. I told you it would be a conflict of interest and you knew it was, but still asked me. Procrastination and cutting corners. Mrs. Gleaton please take the time and really think about everything I said. You are more focused on your center looking pretty instead of offering quality care. Have you ever went in a classroom and coached a teacher or modeled for them how to do developmentally appropriate activities, transitions, or how to use positive redirection? Have you reached out to your consultant to let her know the areas your staff struggle in if you can’t do it? Is it because you will have to pay or are the extra trainings free? It’s worth the time and investment whichever one it is. Based on everything I have observed I would suggest you and Mrs.Lettie attend some leadership conferences on managing staff, conflict resolution, customer service, and how to build positive relationships with parents. You don’t want parents coming to the center and being part of any events except for the classroom you and Mrs. Lettie’s grand child is in. I’ve witnessed Mrs. Lettie speak really disrespectful on the phone to a parent and then slam the phone down when she hung up. She came back and asked me was she rude and I said, “Yes” I hope she apologized. As I told Mrs. Lettie the parent had every right to be upset because at the end of the day when staff are not properly supervising children and their child is hurt any parent would be upset. I told Mrs. Lettie to put herself in the parent shoes. It’s not what you say it’s how you say it. Speaking to parents as if their children is not okay and then when you are met with the same energy it’s a problem. Please do better. I’m sure you will play with my final check, but I don’t care. Best wishes.
I couldn't be happier with M&S Magical Stars! My daughter has attended this daycare since she was 2 years old and the staff has consistently exceeded our expectations. The environment is warm and welcoming, and it's evident that the team genuinely cares about the children's well-being. The facility is clean, well-organized, and equipped with age-appropriate resources. I highly recommend M&S Magical Stars to any parent looking for a nurturing and high-quality daycare!
I want to start off stating i disagree will all of these reviews, this has been the best daycare my girls have ever went too, the lady’s at the front are fantastic, Ms.Andy is such a wonderful woman, she is so kind, great with fixing any problems I’ve ever had, always there to listen to my concerns or anything that involves my girls. She never once has gave me attitude about a problem or concern I’ve had, and I know I’m a hard mom to deal with because I do have high expectations for my girls and their environment and she has not failed me once on it. Also, Ms.Letty is such a kind individual as well, she will listen and figure out the problem as well, she is great with communication as well as Ms.Andy. Ms.Letty is a great person if you don’t understand something with the paperwork, caps & tuition fees. She will break it down but not make you feel completely lost. She has also shown how passionate she is with the kids as well with Ms.Andy. I would Recommend this daycare out of any daycare!! As for the teacher, they are great with communication and I love the fact they use procare to send updates through out the day while I’m at work. If I ever had a problem and say something to them directly they have never gotten defensive or disrespectful, they always try to find or solve the situation for the safety and comfort for my girls. I love love this daycare! I am truly thankful for them for treating my babies like their own!
