What Parents Say
Lyndhurst Community Presbyterian Church Child Enrichment Center receives mostly positive reviews praising staff quality, educational programming, and safe environment. However, two negative reviews cite administrative issues and safety concerns that contrast sharply with the predominantly favorable feedback.
We have sent our child to LCPC now for about 2 years. She has met some amazing people and great friends while attending. As a parent you always want the best for your child and we can without a doubt say that LCPC offers the best care available. The teachers and staff actually enjoy what they do, care for children! They offer great project based activities that help your little one thrive and learn. They prepare your child for the next steps in school and most importantly, they offer them a safe place which helps make your day a little easier. The staff is qualified but also friendly and selfless. They all have gone out of their way to make sure our family was included, even through the worst of times. LCPC has made a huge impact in our family and we would recommend them to anyone looking for child care in the area. Thank you for all that you do!
Our little boy has attended LCPC for the last two years. Before we started at LCPC, I stayed home with him, so to say that we did our research and completely trust this school and their staff with our child is an understatement. They have a true understanding and appreciation for early childhood development - something I especially value since I have a background in the same field. LCPC was recommended to me by two of my former teaching buddies who also send their children here. I would hands-down pass along the favor by doing the same for any family looking for a loving environment for their child.
My boys love LCPC! My oldest son just graduated from their Pre-K class and the teachers really prepared him for kindergarten. In fact, many elementary school teachers recognize when their students come from LCPC. My younger son is in his second year and looks forward to the special music class on Mondays and yoga on Thursdays. They have daily lessons, story time, art, and have a play based learning environment. There’s hardly any turnover with the teachers and the director has been there for over 30 years. Also, love that they supply snacks and lunch😊
Don’t contact LCPC ENRICHMENT CENTER for care for your child. I signed sienna up for summer camp 2 months ago and I just called them to make sure they didn’t need anything further from me and they told me they didn’t receive paperwork when I know I dropped it off for a fact (I’m not crazy) Elizabeth the owner she called leaving voicemails and I never answered so she gave up my child’s spot to somebody else. Never got a single call. So unprofessional. Now I’m out of summer care for my daughter. If anybody knows of any summer camps for 4 year olds this summer please let me know.
LCPC offers a wonderful full time daycare program that is what I would expect for a pre-school program. The environment is clean, structured, positive, and safe, and the teachers are highly engaged with the kids, providing activities, crafts, and teaching certain concepts or themes. They manage to pack in just about everything in their teaching space, to include two playgrounds, a climbing room, group space (often used for yoga and music class), and many classroom toys and instructional materials. It also says a lot that many of the teachers have taught there for many years, if not decades, and they are still highly committed. They are true educators. The communication is also excellent- not only can the teachers speak to what a given child has done for the day (ie, it’s never just “she had a good day” - every day- they actually provide substantive information and anecdotal stories), but they provide updates and pictures most days through an app. Finally, we have found that the parents and kids associated with LCPC are very kind, and the school really is like a community. Our child loves it there, and the friends she’s made. Five stars!
