Our daughter went here for two years of preschool and last year they had a kindergarten program that was a lifesaver during the pandemic for those of us who couldn’t work from home. When the public school teachers were doing their thing from the comfort of their couches at the expense of so many bored and underserved public school kiddos, these wonderful teachers were there five days a week teaching 3-6 year olds without a single hiccup (that we noticed). The church pastor is lovely and very involved with the school. Graduation is always thoughtful and this year included an awards ceremony for the kindergartners. Ten stars for Buoys and Gulls at LUMC!
Very welcoming. Young pastor at present. All age groups. Recovering from Covid pandemic. Bible focus in worship and music .Local mission program.
Disappointed in UMC and it's stand on exclusivity and THIS church for being stuck in the past. There are SOME folks there who are progressive, but DEFINITELY in the minority.
