What Parents Say
Loving Arms Academy receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from parents who praise the caring staff, educational programs, and welcoming environment. One parent reported significant concerns about food allergy management, strict drop-off policies, and lack of promised curriculum implementation during their two-month experience.
I am so grateful to have found this place for my children. I have a 3yr old son and a 1yr old daughter. I can tell they both love it here. They have been attending Loving Arms Academy for 3 months and already learned so much. Within the first few weeks my son learned the months of the year. My daughter learned how to express herself with sign. I cannot express how much I appreciate the staff/caretakers. They are all amazing, respectful, professional, loving, and nurturing. Definitely a place I can trust with my children 🫶
I debated whether I wanted to take time to write a review of our experience with Loving Arms Academy or not for a couple weeks. With no one from the daycare taking time to send an email or call to ask why we decided to leave the daycare after around two months of attending and seeing the huge difference in our daughter new daycare to compare them to I decided that I should write a review. Our daughter will be 3 in October and was attending an amazing in home daycare in Haymarket since she was 6 months old until about two months ago. A year ago we moved to the Stafford area and tried to keep her at the in home daycare but he 45 min one way became a bit much. So we searched for a daycare closer. We really didn't want to go the center daycare route. One of the reasons we chose Loving Arms was because it was a smaller daycare that seemed to be more about community. They stated that there was all these things they provided such as a curriculum, meal menu (because our daughter is allergic to damn near everything so we wanted to send lunches that resembled what others were eating), what the kids are learning so we can continue at home, and outside play. Let me tell you none of that happened. During the whole interviewing process we stated several times that our daughter had food allergies and what they were. We had the doctors forms all completed and the day of the introduction zoom call for start in a few days we're being told that they cant give our child any meds, to include the Epipen if she has a peanut exposure. They would have to call 911. Most of the staff at the daycare were very nice. My wife's experiences sometimes was a little different than mine. We were given a hard window to drop off and pick up. The pickup I absolutely understand but the drop off was crazy to me. We had to drop off by 9am or had to have prior authorization from headquarters to drop off later. One morning my wife was running late because it happens when you have a two year old and showed up at 920 and they wouldn't take our daughter. Literally at the door wouldn't let her in. She had to call the director while standing at the door who said that if she would have call a little earlier it wouldn't be an issue then hung-up. Then the worker that was at the door said, I guess we'll just take her. I totally would understand if it was nap time or a few disruption. Even if we had a doctor appointment we had to be sure to inform the director to get prior approval to arrive late. I work mids and sometimes don't get to bed until 2am. I have to make sure I get up early to be able to get her around and stress to get her to daycare before 9am. We got bags of wet clothes that had been there for days and were mildew. There were blanks that we just never got back. Our child refused to even attempt to sit on the potty for potty training at home. As where prior to attending Loving Arms she was all about it. She just wasn't the same excited kiddo at daycare. Even in the burry pictures they would send. Our kiddo isn't even close to a shy child. All around we were very disappointed with the professionalism or lack there of and our experience.
When I think of Loving Arms Academy four words come to mind; nurturing, cheerful, devotion and accommodating. My daughter has been here since she was , now 5 and highly prepared for Kindergarten. It has been an amazing place for my daughter to mature. The school has amazing teachers who are caring and provide individualized attention to all of their students. As a parent it is difficult to leave your kids with others for 8+ hours per day. However, since Loving Arms Academy is such a warm and friendly place I can go to work relaxed knowing that she is cared for by a devoted staff in a secure and safe facility. + for this school: --Extremely affordable --High quality freshly prepared meals included in tuition --Secure and safe --Thoughtful and caring staff --The owner is awesome and approachable
My son has been going to Loving Arms for about two months now. I love his teachers in the infant room. Every time my daughter and I come in to drop him off they are ALL acknowledging us and even my daughter gets the hugs and acknowledgment that she is there even though she is in another Pre-k. I love the bright wheel app they use to communicate with me while he is there. I get pictures and videos every day, notifications for eating and diaper changes and any other notes they may need to leave. The director and assistant director are also wonderful to work with. They are hands on with the children and every child has a smile on his/her face every time I come in or leave. It’s such a relief to leave my 7 month old son with such great staff.♥️
I've known Mrs. Lashawn for over 5 years. She has a passion and love for children and her staff reflects the same love and passion as she does. Loving Arms Academy is the epitome of its name "Loving Arms". The children are Loved, parents are Valued, and teachers are Appreciated. I can see how Loving Arms Academy won the aware of the best childcare in Stafford and also the best childcare in the District. I am truly excited to bring my two grandchildren to this academy. If you are looking for a center to bring your child(ren) you've found it here at Loving Arms Academy.
