Excellent rec center in the area. It’s quite big, with mostly new equipment, great design, lots of amazing views, and overall seems well staffed and kept clean. It’s also nice to have an indoor track for the hot or cold days! Would definitely recommend joining here if you live in the area.
I usually come in on a Saturday morning and love the staff member Dawn. She is the best!!!!Please give Dawn a raise ✅ever since she came to the Louisville rec center. We have felt love from her. I bringing in a group of three men that have disabilities and she always shows us love thank you Dawn you are the best.
Wow, kids running everywhere, no supervision and apparently no pool rules, or at least non that are enforced! At one point a little boy slipped and fell and cracked his head open, so bad, blood was all over the floor and they had to close the pool for over 30 min.. way to many kids in the hot tub, jumping and rough housing, trash in the pool, trash overflowing in family locker room.. just aweful!! We were from out of town on a date night and I dropped my oldest daughter 22 and my youngest daughter 7 for a couple hrs to swim while my husband and I went on a date.. we dropped them off at 3 the pool closes at 445 and in that time they had to sit out for over 30 min due to the accident, hopefully the lil guy was ok... but this could have been prevented with simple rules being enforced!! It was $15 for my oldest and $10 for my youngest, which is very high considering... we are a large family sometimes when all of my kids are with us we can be a party of 14, and we frequent pools all over the state and country for that matter, and this was the worst we have been too... do not recomend!! I am contacting the health department, and I think they should consider new management..and staff..
The Louisville Rec Center is very well-run, has a lot of facilities, and a great place for fitness or kids activities. I go for their weight room which has great views to the Flatirons. I also use the cold plunge as well as the adult pickup soccer. Their indoor turf field is awesome, and maybe the only one on the area. Our kids love the pool, lazy river, and slide too!
Removed everything I loved about this place during their renovation. Diving board is gone, sauna and steam room are not open during my last 5 visits. No refunds offered.
