Such a Beautiful campus here. I know a lot of people that go there. Feel that it could be more inviting at times, but they offer summer care for school age kids - youth sports, and adult classes offered there. Must say all my sons played there and some other family members, so good memories there for me.
This is Saturday Feb 21 10:30am. The bigger built, blonde woman (maybe 40) at the front counter was rude, condescending, and offensive. The weight room attendant had stepped away, and I had a question so I walked up to the front counter, but there was no one there. I walked to a different room across the hall and came upon two women chatting, and asked if anyone was working at the front desk. The blonde looked at me and slowly and condescendingly, in a high pitched voice, and said as she nodded her head slowly and repeatedly, “yes,…that’s me…I’m just right here… what do you need.” (She was clearly annoyed that I interrupted her chat session with the other employee) She spoke to me as if she were talking to a toddler. I can’t imagine that they would hire someone so rude to deal with customers in a city that’s so kind. So I asked her if someone was working in the weight room and that I needed help. Just then, the gentleman walked up the hallway that was manning the weight room. She pointed at him and again spoke to me like I was a toddler with eyebrows raised, talking very slowly, again in a high pitched voice, as if I were challenged and couldn’t understand her. “He’s right here…” as she very slowly motioned her hand toward him as if I couldn’t see him standing there. It was something out of the movies. So absolutely rude. It’s so unfortunate that I had to interrupt her chatting session with the other employee, but she was, in fact at work. (Obviously not at her station, but on the clock nonetheless.) On my way out she was also at the front desk and gave me a rude look. This is just my second time to this gym, but the first time I have seen this rude woman. I might consider going to a different gym because of this rude condescending and obviously troubled woman.
I've been a member of this YMCA for about 6 months now. I'd like to start off by saying I love it here, gym is clean, staff does a great job and friendly! There is very little to complain about so I will edit this review if the 1 sour situation gets corrected because this is a 5 star facility with the pool being a 1 star. My friend and I started training 5 days a week in the pool in July. From July till September-ish ( when swim season started ) there was probably 5 instances where we had to delay our swim or cancel it because there was no lifeguard. Since September we have started to only weight train so no real complaints about the pool. Today I came in at 7am to swim, did not bring any clothes to lift in. There was no lifeguard and the app was updated to show pool hours 8-11. I used the sauna till 8 and the pool was still closed so I showered and prepared to leave. At 8:15 when I left I was informed a lifeguard was on their way. I hope management can find a way to improve the staffing in the Pool department so I can upgrade this review to a 5 star review as deserved.
Decided to join the 4th-5th Flag Football season for 2025. WORST DECISION EVER! The league started off great, good coaches, great staff, but it finished so bad. The level of organization dropped dramatically. The coaching for the teams got "chippy" and the staff were unable to manage the games. The season ended but then there was a tournament that wasn't on the original schedule. Then at the tournament championship game it got very out of control. The stopping point for me was when my child was punched in the throat. PUNCHED....I'm not talking about a block that missed it point...a full clinched fist punch. I pulled my kid from the field and it got so "heated" that the refs had to stop and call the game. The ref that seen my child got punched "talked" to the other child but the was no repercussion. I would save your money and time.....
Seriously poorly ran. Just got to the pool to be kicked out for a birthday party. Just checked the website before going and it said the pool was open. Try explaining that to a 4 year old little girl. This is like the fifth time I’ve had to tell her we couldn’t swim or we have only have 20min. She’s heartbroken every time. Update. Continues to disappoint. Signed up for T-ball to start on 8/11 and it’s supposed to be Mondays. Didn’t start till the following week and it’s Tuesdays and Thursdays!!
