Absolute amazing place, great and helpful therapists, lots of interactive stuff like the OWL (outdoor wilderness learning center) and they brought us to playgrounds and stuff, the rooms were alright, I must say, some of the best food ever. Really really good flipping peach cobbler and blueberry pie.. And were extremely helpful and caring in a crisis.

Just had my grandson for a weekend pass had a great time ! His therapist called before he got back to check on him !!! Wow impressed with her !!! Shout out to miss Amy !! Helping him so far !! Great place!!

My experience here was half and half my therapists were absolutely great especially Mrs.Boga Mrs.Marilyn and Mrs.Shaterica. The staff wise I’ve had one staff push me against the fence and hold his fist up to my face he was fired but no police were called his name was Mr.peanut. I had another staff member while in a protective hold she used her elbow and dug it into the back of my knee on purpose and would pinch. Ms letaira )But they did have some amazing staff mrs. Treesha was #1 in my book ms diamond ms Janice Mr nick they were all great this place was my childhood overall I’d say you should send your kid here mainly because the two staff that did this are gone and it took me several times going here but I’m 18 now and it’s helped me a lot I’ve got a job and have been able to hold it for 6months now which anybody that knows me would be shocked!!

I’m still recovering from the horror of this place!!! I’m 28 years old, I got out when I was 17!! I was eating breakfast in the living room. Due to the dining room had no room to eat. A staff member picked me up and threw me to dresser twice. Then I protected myself with a fork. I went to jail for a month. Dcfs/ Ocs wasn’t informed about me being in jail. Methodist Childrens Home told my case workers I was outside playing. When I was in an adult jail cell trying to survive due to starvation. Luckily I had a court date and my judge called and saved my life. I had almost died at the jail. No meds was transferred to me. Went straight from a lot of medicine to zero!!! Fried a lot of my brain cells. I had to get wheelchaired out of the jail to a hospital. The hospital put five bags of fluid inside of me. This is a true story!! I was this kid… I have came a long way to train my brain to learn things again. But still have a lot of problems.

i was a here when i was 15-16 , the facility itself is not that great. harsh conditions, small portions of food, unsanitary units, bad sleeping conditions. my therapist that i had here was very judgmental and called me ugly words. although the facility was an awful experience, some staff members were life changing for me. the staff that come and work long hours and also spend time in these harsh unfair conditions at an underpaid rate were the most support i had. they've given me words of encouragement and advice that i still use with me today. i think back to ms. meka, ms. daisy, ms. tin, ms. nelda, ms.val, and a few more .. they made me feel like i had the power to be someone in life despite all of the obstacles i had to overcome first. they gave me the encouragement to want to overcome those obstacles. they empowered me and gave me strength during one of my hardest times. what im saying is, this childrens home is not a suitable facility and honestly should be closed down, but thanks to a particular few staff members they helped me bring light to the darkness while in this terrible position i couldn't escape at this facility. i pray for them often and i hope they are acknowledged for what good they put into the world. the lord will bless those who put good into the world . we need more people like yall !!
