Longwood is a truly special place where children are nurtured, supported, and encouraged to grow. Our family has been part of the Longwood community for many years, and all three of our children have attended the Montessori program. We wouldn’t have chosen anywhere else. The care and dedication shown to the children is evident every day. We have happily recommended Longwood to many friends and family members. The director is wonderful—approachable, attentive, and genuinely invested in the happiness and success of each child.
Our family cannot recommend Longwood Montessori more. Since day one, they have felt like family - treating our son with the utmost compassion, kindness, enrichment and care. Every teacher in the facility knows his name and greets us each day - and they’re constantly developing new and uniquely tailored ways to spark creativity, learning opportunities and connection. I would wholeheartedly recommend Longwood to other families!
From the moment I walked into Longwood, it just felt warm — like a place where kids are truly seen and cared for. All three of my kiddos have gone and are going here, and it’s been such a blessing for our family. My oldest started out very shy but so bright, and Ms. Petra (along with Ms. Jeaneth!) worked so patiently to help her come out of her shell. Every time my daughter spoke up or shared something in class, Ms. Petra would celebrate it with me. By the time she started kindergarten, she was already doing first-grade work! That’s what I love most about Longwood — they meet each child where they are and help them grow in their own unique way. The toddler class with Ms. Farida and Ms. Romina is just as amazing. They’re so nurturing and communicate so well — there are never any surprises. And they help with potty training like total pros! This school just does things differently. It’s not stuffy or strict — it’s full of heart. I’ve never heard a teacher raise their voice. The communication with the directors is open and honest, and Ms. Martha is truly the best. She listens, she cares, and it shows in everything from the classrooms to the way the whole school runs. You can even check in on your little one during the day, which brings so much peace of mind (especially when they’re just starting out!). And the events? They go all out — the Thanksgiving feast is my absolute favorite. The kids help prepare the food, and the whole school comes together to celebrate. It’s such a beautiful reflection of the community they’ve built. I could honestly go on and on. Longwood Montessori is more than a school — it’s a place where children are nurtured from the inside out. My kids have thrived here, and I couldn’t be more grateful. 💛 (pictures are from the celebration of Holi! It’s a colorful welcoming celebration of spring! The powder the school actually makes themselves and is completely safe for the kiddos! No tears and no stains! Everyone gets involved and it is so much fun!!)
I truly don't know where to start in trying to express how much I love this school! From the moment I walked in the door this building felt less like a business/school and more like a family home. We have been a Longwood family for five years now and have experienced every age group/classroom over the years, from infant to toddler to primary. Every teacher, administrator, floater, is kind and caring. The number of teachers and staff who have been at the school continuously for 10, 15, 25, even 30 years is a testament to how well this school is run. You just don't see longevity like that if they aren't doing things right. The classrooms are clean, bright, and fun. Communication from the school about events and daily happenings is consistent and accurate. The effort put into classroom parties, special events throughout the year, and extracurricular activities offered through the school is top notch. Personal favorites include the Thanksgiving Feast, Fall Festival, Spanish classes, and a really fun dance program with twice-yearly recitals. Big shout-out to Ms. Martha, the directress, who is so easy to talk to about not just the things going right, but also any concerns I have had over the years. My five year old son runs to give her a big hug every time he sees her and tells her regularly that he loves her. The primary classrooms are wonderful and all run by licensed teachers with decades of experience. Ms. Christina, Ms. Petra, and Ms. Jeaneth are kind, caring, and generally all-around lovely humans who clearly enjoy their chosen professions and feel deeply for the children in their care. I could go on and on.... If you are a working parent looking for a second home for your kids, you won't find a better spot than this school. Longwood will hold a special place in my heart forever.
We love being part of the Longwood Montessori Family! The staff is experienced, caring, and you can tell they truly love what they do. My children enjoy going to school every day and we love the variety of in-school activities available that let them explore and learn new skills. The teachers are patient, communicative, and wonderful role models. We couldn’t be happier!
