I toured several facilities in the area, and ultimately decided on Little Tikes for our daughter for several reasons. The owner was more than willing to set up a tour and meet with me beforehand. She introduced me to the teachers, showed me around the facility, and ensured I had any information I needed. The facility is clean. The teachers are friendly, welcoming, and easy to communicate with. Our little girl LOVES going to "ay-care" and is always talking about her friends, playing outside, and the various crafts they do. She's always so proud of the artwork she brings home. As a parent, it's very reassuring to hear your daughter ask to go to daycare. We're very thankful for this facility and all of the individuals that work there.
First of all, the negative reviews are completely false. Little Tikes is a wonderful child care provider. My child has been in their able care since the age of two and a half months and is now three years old. We have been in each classroom, from the baby room where infant care is superior, to the main building with 1-2 year old children and the preschool room with 2+ years. The teachers are wonderful and are all fully trained and accredited in their specialties. Though not a certified preschool center, they follow the same curriculum and it has proven success with every new thing my child comes home to share they have learned. I was a nervous mother when I first had to place my child in day care, but my trust was gained by Little Tikes after my first visit. The facility is safe, clean and very friendly. The staff love the children and treat them with kindness and respect. They provide wonderful and nutritious meals and snacks, following all the appropriate state and federal guidelines. I have referred all my friends and anyone who needs child care. Friends of mine who have had their children there love it as much as we do. They have been a true blessing to a working mother by helping to mold my child into a kind and motivated person. My child loves going to "school" each day and learns new things all the time that I otherwise might not have had the time to teach myself. They have fun activities and make adorable projects on a regular basis, and have helped to foster my child's love of reading. I wholeheartedly recommend this child care facility to everyone and every family. Please give no credence to the hateful and ignorant reviews of the uninformed minority. See for yourself, stop by Little Tikes any time. I know once you drop in they will win you over- and that you will be impressed by their cleanliness and friendliness, just like my family was!
The staff at Little Tikesare all very good with the children. They are attentive to individual children’s needs. Meals are very good and nutritious as well. The activities are suited for the age of the child. I am happy with our experience at this child care center.
We started here when my kids were almost a year old, because it was close to my work. They are almost 3, and we just pulled them out. When we did the tour, the teachers obviously loved the kids, and we were sold by watching how the kids were loved by their teachers. They’ve lost every good teacher they have had. All of them. I’ve heard the main teacher be rude to the kids, even just recent. I’ve had a friend say her kid was sent home multiple occasions, and find out it was due to ratios. My kids started being harder and harder to drop off. I had to ask the owner no less than 4 times for the form that you use to claim child care expenses on taxes. She kept giving me the wrong amount. I paid just shy of $1200 a month, but she kept giving me papers showing I paid less than $13,000. She finally just told me to write in the number because she couldn’t figure out how much I paid. Final straw - they are not potty training friendly. I spent days getting my kids potty trained. And they did really well. No accidents for a full day before going to daycare in underwear. Day1 of daycare after intense potty training, and they put them in pull ups. My son decided he didn’t have to pee in a potty because they just put him in a pull-up. Was told they are not allowed to wear underwear unless they can tell them they need to go 100% of the time. One accident and they weren’t allowed to wear underwear. He hasn’t had an accident at home, only there. But that wasn’t acceptable. They toilet in the bathroom for the kids is not friendly to small kids. It’s so behind the times. I stayed because I liked some of the teachers, and the love my kids had for them. But when you treat your employees horribly, you lose them. And then you lose the families. I’d rather be inconvenienced with driving out of my way across town, adding an extra 20min one way on my commute to work for a babysitter then put my kids in this daycare again.
We’ve used Little Tikes for my son from 2 years old until 4 1/2 when he started county pre-k. He loved his time here and did so well. Even now that he’s in school he asks if he can go back and see his teachers on Friday when he’s not in school. We cannot recommend them enough
