What Parents Say
Little Samaritan Montessori Center receives consistently high praise from parents for its Montessori-based curriculum that emphasizes independence, developmentally appropriate learning, and emotional growth. Parents highlight responsive staff, strong communication, and successful transitions to school settings. Multiple families report long-term satisfaction, with children thriving academically and socially.
Little Sam is such a blessing for the neighborhood, but earnestly for all of Jackson. Their programing and curriculum is second-to-none, in my opinion. Our son is such a wonderful little person because of the way each of his teachers takes care to allow him to develop. If you're on the fence about Montessori education, you should talk with the staff. My only wish is that there were more space for more kids to benefit from this beautiful little environment. The ability for children to think, grown, and learn independently through carefully curated choices and boundaries aligns with how children naturally learn by movement, exploration, and choice during sensitive development stages. Unlike more rigid, adult-centric approaches, Montessori curriculum fosters independence, intrinsic motivation, and cognitive growth by respecting each kiddos pace. This is more holistically appropriate for their social-emotional development, and their academic growth. And we've seen nothing short of that in our son. More simply put, Little Sam offers kids the blessing of growing at their own pace through curated activities that are developmentally appropriate for them, and the feedback from the teachers is invaluable and supportive of that development. We're currently in the throws of toddler tantrums, and a quick message to the school provided us with several resources, all of which have proven practically successful in helping us navigate those challenges. I can't recommend Little Sam enough, for everyone. Jackson needs Little Sam. And all of us adults could use a little more of what Little Sam teaches: mindfulness, taking things slowly and deliberately, apart from distractions, disorder, and screens.
We have sent several of our kiddos of all ages to this amazing daycare. The baby room is so wonderful for the first months when you are learning and adjusting to a new routine. The teachers always astound me with what independence, creativity, and kindness toward peers that they instill in my children. The toddler room is such a structured and yet joyful environment. I love how much time kids spend outside and engaged in art and skill-building activities. My children who have moved into a school environment were SO prepared because of the time they spent in the preschool room. Community and communication are a huge priority for the directors, and every child is so safe and cared for. Not sure what we will do once our family has outgrown this special place!
Our little one is at Little Sam's and we couldn't be more thrilled! The staff are so communicative and responsive to parents and so hands-on with the little ones. They nurture our son's independence and are already cultivating a love of books, learning, and exploring! I was worried about starting daycare, but they made the transition seamless and comfortable for all of us.
We have had two children attend Little Samaritan and can't say enough good things about the staff and our experience there. Both of our little ones looked forward to daycare everyday and have learned great skills that they brought home and shared with us.
I don’t even know how to begin. This daycare is one of the best daycares in the state. The director and staff take good care of the child and their needs. They completely changed my son’s life and now he is thriving and happy. My daughter is also attending little Samaritan and she loves it. I have been using this daycare for over five years and never had a single bad experience.
