Little Red School House

I sent my 4 year old here for two days, and by day 2, i was 100% sure he wasnt going back. If security is what you're looking for, this place is not for you. There's no door code or any type of door security. No cameras except facing the parking lot. The front door is always unlocked and open. When i areived one day, the front door was unlocked and the "child security door" was also unlocked and one of the kids just walked out the door to me. That could have ended very badly. No one actually "received' the child in the mornings. I just signed him in and opened the second door and sent him in. Next, I was told I could bring his lunch since he's a picky eater. Well I did that and when I picked him up, his lunchbox was cleaned out. When he got in the car, he asked for the rest of his food. I handed him his lunchbox and my 4 year old stated, "where's the rest of my food?" I asked him did he eat it at lunch, he said he ate some but not all. So I'm assuming they threw the rest away. Food is entirely too expensive for them to just throw away, and secondly, I like to know how much of his food he actually ate at lunch. I informed them that I would be taking his blanket home daily to wash it, well by day 2, they never even check his booking to see that his blanket was in there. He has skin allergies, so I told them from the beginning that he cannot use any other blankets. Sure enough, he was broken out on his skin when I picked him up. The director seemed very "spacey" and out of touch with what actually goes on. When I pulled into the parking lot, she was walking up to the front door smoking. That is not something that needs to be happening at the front entrance to a daycare, and not something that should be seen by the kids. When I told her about the issue with his previous daycare and why I removed him, (an issue that I'd rather not mention to the public, but was VERY serious) , I was highly surprised when the same child that we had issues with prior, was now at this facility. I notified the director of the issue with the child (one that is serious enough to investigate/look into/ inquire about, she was very spacey and simply stated " I don't THINK we have anyone with that name". Some of the staff were really nice, but overall, would not recommend this place. Especially if you're a stickler for being informed about your child or want extra safety precautions to ensure that no one can get in, or out. The tuition is cheaper than most places in the area. But sometimes cheaper isn't always a good thing.

My daughter was 2 years old and I would get a call from the daycare she was at prior to switching her to little red school house everyday she had a write up for her behavior. Fast forward to now she’s hasn’t had a problem at this daycare and she loves it I can also tell that the staff really cares about the kids.

I can't express how much I love this daycare! Each staff know's my children on a personal level. This isn't just a daycare!! It's a second family! My oldest daughter has adhd and they have worked so hard with her I'm beyond thankful for how patient they're with her. I have never had any issues with the center. I trust everyone in here. I'm able to go to work and TRUST my children are in good hands and SAFE!! I also love hearing how my kid's come home daily with so many thing's they did during the day!!

Ashley is still a household name in our home with our little. Her first time in daycare was at 3 and Ashley made that experience so well. She still asks about her today. :)

My kids attended this day care when they were very young. Both of my kids went through the VPK program with them as well. Ms. Shauna was so amazing and her VPK program was awesome. She prepared my kids for school and had them above where they needed to be academically. They were very patient with my daughter. She had some behavioral problems and we eventually found out that she had ADHD. As long as you keep your communication open with them, they are very flexible with pick up time if you happen to run behind with picking up your kids, especially for the parents who have financial difficulties. If my kids went to the school that would drop off at their daycare they would most definitely still be attending there for after school care🤗
