Little Ponderosa Day Care Center

My toddler attended this daycare for about 4 months. The first two months were fine, and there were no complaints about my toddler. They had a change in 'management', resulting in Pat being the director and a new hire named Dolly as her assistant, per say. Suddenly, I'm called daily about my son's behavior during nap time. He gets excited and doesn't want to. Some toddlers don't nap, and that's normal, we even consulted our pediatrician for clarification that his behavior was normal. I even came into the center to have a one on one plan with Pat about my son. It felt like more effort was put into pushing out, rather than moving the kids who had a harder time napping into a different area. We (pat and myself) agreed to have 2 weeks 'play out' and the day were suppose to see further growth and more options we were told they dont have staff to attent to my son the way he needs during nap time. Dolly told us only after we had to ask for Pats update and when we asked to speak with Pat the director, dolly told us she was ill and not avaliable and shortly after Pat walks into the front lobby and wouldn't address us. It's hurtful because we were continuously told we would figure it out, and not even considering disconting my son. So without warning or clarification, we were told our son isn't welcomed. My sons teacher was changed weekly without notice, No breakfast is provided, they told me they only wash the cups 2 times a week, nothing is sincere, these people are a hot mess and no one has any awareness of what's actually going on due to the unorganized process pat goes by. I wish I could Give negative stars and we tried to be transparent and work with the growth this center promised and got nothing but backlash in return. Definitely don't recommend for toddlers.

This is a great daycare. My son has been going here since he was 9 months old. They provide curriculum for all the age groups. They take field trips during the summer breaks and they have pony rides for the kids. The teachers are great and very sweet. They have cameras in all the rooms and you are able to see these views in the lobby area. It is a christian based child care center that incorporates the students to say Grace during meal times. I 100% recommend this center to anyone looking for a great and safe daycare.

I would NOT recommend taking no KIDS/TODDLERS to this daycare. The staff is very unprofessional and keeps changing staff/teachers EVERY MONTH! Let alone they don't even tell you who's in charge until a few days later on what's going on. My son hadn't had a year here and already had 3-4 different teachers within that time frame. Very unorganized and the NEW owner NAMED DOLLY was really rude and didn't even let me speak about the concern/situation I had. Again DON'T take your kids HERE!!

My older two attended this center and still talk about their experiences to this day. It was great when our youngest child need a daycare and it was the same director, same owners, and some of the same experienced staff. We chose to move our son from an establishment in Forney and I choose to drive out of my way 20 extra minutes to take him here. We have been nothing but pleased. The staff are friendly, teachers are knowledgeable, and kind. If you want a place where your kid will grow in the areas of academics,discipline and structure this is the place to attend.
