What Parents Say
Little Munchkins receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from most parents, with praise for caring teachers, strong educational preparation, and supportive leadership under director Debbie. However, two negative reviews raise serious safety concerns, including multiple unexplained injuries to a child and allegations of poor facility conditions and inadequate supervision.
I am so pleased with the experience we had at Little Munchkins. Even though my daughter was only there for 1 year in the pre-k class, she learned so much, felt so much care and love, and made so many friendships. We can’t believe how much she learned in just one year at LM - how to spell and write her name, her address, and basic math skills - they do a great job of preparing kids for kindergarten. The owner, Ms. Debbie, is super communicative and does an amazing job of making LM a place that is fun, supportive, nurturing, and creative for the little ones. All the teachers at LM are so kind and loving to the kids, all of them, not just the ones in their classes. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to send our daughter. We hold many memories here and hope more kids can benefit from the positive environment at Little Munchkins!
Our daughter has been going to Little Munchkins for several years now (she is currently 4). I cannot speak highly enough of the teaching staff's commitment to the care and development of the children in their charge. Complemented by an owner in Miss Debbie who both oversees everything, as well as steps in on a personal level with the families gives you a place where I know my daughter is safe, challenged, and most of all happy.
My son has been at this day care since he was 6 weeks old(now almost 4). Our son has learned a lot at his school and has never complained about going to school in the morning. He is excited and engaged with his teachers. He is on track if not ahead of schedule for kindergarten. Also Debbie was very flexible with our schedule when my wife was out of work and applying to new jobs. Honestly her flexibility might have just saved our year! I really couldn't be happier with Little Munchkins Learning Center.
I have been a part of the LM family for over 7 years now. My oldest daughter was there from 3 months through Pre-k and now my other daughter has attended from infancy to her current age. Looking for child care for an infant is one of the most stressful things I’ve personally done. After touring multiple centers that’s felt cold, unwelcoming and corporate. I came across LM and met with the director Debbie. She welcomed me and took the time to sit down with me. I had a list of questions that she went over and clearly answered them without me even asking. She was friendly, honest, flexible and made me feel very comfortable. This is where I knew a independent/private childcare center was the best fit for my family. Every child care has turnover but I’m proud to say there are teachers that have been there for years. This is huge! They are a family and their main focus are the children. (Some people have to look past the minor distractions) My kids have always been happy and love going. It will be a sad day when my youngest finishes pre-k.
Please do not send your child to this daycare. I sent my son to this daycare for about a year and it was never the best, but I never thought he was being mistreated. There is always way too many students to each teacher but as long as I thought my son was safe I never complained. After my son came home with bruises and cuts to the area around his eyes multiple times within one week, without any incident report being given to us by the daycare, I asked what was going on. I was told that my sons skin is very pale and bruses easily, as if that was a reasonable answer. That same day my son was sent home with 2 additonal bruises to his head/eye and an incident report saying he was pushed by another student. I was fed up with my child being hurt every day and called the director, Debbie, to see what was going on. Debie told me that she does not see a problem with a 1 year old child having 5 head injurys within a 2 week period. After I told Debbie that I will be reporting these incidents she told me that I can not prove that they happened at her daycare, since her staff never filed incident reports. It was at this point that I realized that the director of the daycare is out of touch with reality and I was putting my son in danger by sending him to little munchkins. I now feel guilty that I sent my child here every day.
