We have had 2 positive years here and are looking forward to their camp program as well. No red flags for us, we trust the staff and our little learned along the way. As with any child care situation it's best to go and see more than once before you make a decision. It worked out for our little bit it doesn't mean it's a good fit for yours.
We have used little lakers for summer camps (and kindergarten) for all three of our kids and have absolutely LOVED it. They receive great care, always have engaging, fun, educational activities for the children. Wouldn't go anywhere else for summer camps/care.
My son had a horrible experience at Little Lakers. His teachers decided to label him as a "bad" kid and push him into the corner. Instead of attempting to actually TEACH him, they did not change their methods or try to work with him. After 5 weeks of school with no communication on these issues, the teachers and director ambushed me in a meeting and detailed every thing "wrong" with my son, and did not offer one single suggestion. After I observed him in their classroom the next day, and was able to show them that my son is able to do everything they offered but needed extra guidance, we decided to pull him from the school. How are we supposed to feel comfortable with teachers who treat our son that way? Nine months later, we are still dealing with the anxiety that they created in their classroom environment. I have several acquaintances that also had major issues with the way certain teachers treated their children - treating precious 4-5 year old children in horrible ways. It appears that much is slipped under the carpet at Little Lakers, and protecting the children that attend there is no longer a priority. I am very disappointed in Little Lakers and they will never receive my business again. If anyone is looking for further details, I have plenty to share. Feel free to pm.
The person who runs this place has cero compassion, only wants business and has forget is a place where kids are learning. They labeled kids as bad and separated from the rest.
