Just moved to needville and I have been looking for a suitable daycare for my son. I’ve called this center at least 8 times in two weeks and no one picks up the phone. As a parent that’s very concerning to me because if my son had already attended this daycare and I needed to reach them, how would I get through if no one answers the phone? On another how do I possibly even get any information about this childcare center if no one answers the phone. Regardless, if the answering machine says to leave a name and number, I shouldn’t have to leave a name and number just to get someone to call me back. There should be someone available to answer the phone.
I would not recommend this facility if you are a loving, caring or involved parent. The teachers are ok (not very caring but just ok), but the director, Shelly, is a huge problem. When any questions arise, she will jump to conclusions or insist that what she says or thinks is exactly what happened without investigating the situation. I recently pulled my child from this facility because she called my kiddo a liar and insisted that she wasn't telling the truth about a situation (without even investigating). Shelly even went as far as "pinning her life on it" that my child was lying and "that would NEVER happen". Ten minutes later, I receive a call that my child was in fact telling the truth, but it was just "taken out of context". Needless to say, I will not allow my child to be under the care of a person who tells me not to listen to my child and calls her a liar. If you are looking for a day care in the area, keep looking because there are better out there.
