What Parents Say
Little Inspirations is a highly-regarded center-based daycare in Chicago with consistent 5-star reviews. Parents praise the warm, knowledgeable staff who know children by name, the structured curriculum with detailed lesson plans, nutritious on-site meals, and supportive transition process for new families. The facility is described as clean, safe, and providing excellent communication with parents.
We love Little Inspirations! The teachers are warm, friendly, creative, and supportive. The pre-k lesson plans they share are detailed and show that there is strong curriculum behind all of the activities and songs that they use each week. The staff are all great, and everyone knows my child's name. My kid is even learning to eat new foods thanks to the wonderful chef and the thoughtful meals they provide. We are so glad that we discovered this fantastic community resource!
This childcare center has gone downhill. My child and I had a very bad experience and eventually had to leave. My child came home several times with bruises and bite marks, and the teachers showed little concern. Staff turnover is extremely high, and it feels like no one stays long enough to know the children. The director seems pleasant on the surface but is unaware of what actually happens in the classrooms. Be cautious — they require a deposit that you will not get back. This place used to have a good reputation, but that’s no longer the case.
I don't typically feel compelled to leave reviews for things, but in searching for child care for my firstborn son I was so nervous about making the right decision and I have been blown away by how much I love Little Inspirations. My now 10 month old goes to Little Inspirations Central Hyde Park campus and they have been an absolutely wonderful part of my "village." They were so kind as I made the transition back to work and to sending him to daycare. As a new mom, it was so hard for me to be away from my baby and they reassured me that I could come anytime and even potentially come in to breastfeed during my lunch break if desired. They will never truly know how much it meant to me that they were so willing to make the transition as slow as I needed. Not only this, but they were also instrumental in getting my son to try many different foods and accustomed to solid foods. Chef Andrius prepares delicious meals and snacks that my son seems to really enjoy! This was also a huge help! Fast forward and I now almost feel bad picking up my son because I know he is having so much with all of his teachers and fellow Wiggly Worms! At drop off, he lights up when he sees Ms. Antoinette and at pick up I get to see him smiling and having fun after another great day at school. All the teachers (from other rooms, too!) and directors know his name and our family. It is just such a warm and caring environment. I never thought I would reach the place to be raving about daycare on a review page, but here we are! They also incorporate Family Fun days which have been so wonderful. We got to see our baby in his element and meet the other teachers and parents, too. Now my only concern is what I will ever do WITHOUT Little Inspirations some day! If you are searching for childcare in the area, do not hesitate to send your child to Little Inspirations. I really cannot speak more highly of them for truly the most important of choices to make for your child. Kudos to the directors and teachers - I could not have personally selected more wonderful people to take care of my son!
We have been very impressed by all of the teachers and other staff members at Little Inspirations! We love seeing the activities that our son participates in every day in the Wiggly Worms infant room at Central Campus, and he is visibly excited to go every day. We appreciate the frequency of communication, responsiveness around parent needs, and care put into child health and safety. We have been grateful for the option for extended hours, and the meal options have been a great guide for us as we have begun introducing solid food as first-time parents. Living in Hyde Park, we can’t ask for a better space for our child and support net for our family.
Sending our son to daycare for the first time was really hard (for him and his parents), but it was a great decision. He's been there about a year, and he's thriving at Little Inspirations! The team there is fantastic. They take great care of all of the kids, do fun activities, and do a great job communicating with the parents. I love getting a daily "digest" of pictures of what my son did during the day. I cannot recommend Little Inspirations highly enough!
