What Parents Say
Little Friends Preschool receives overwhelmingly positive feedback from most parents, with praise for academic advancement, teacher care, and communication. However, one parent reported serious concerns about the school's handling of children with disabilities, including the discharge of a child with speech apraxia despite the school accepting state scholarship funds designated for children with special needs.
I myself and siblings attended little friends preschool and have nothing but amazing things to say about it! I know about 15 other friends with children who attended or currently attend and everyone loves it! The kids come out for more advanced than any other school with God guiding them in every step of the way!
I’m extremely disappointed with Little Friends Preschool and feel compelled to share our experience. Our four-year-old child, who has speech apraxia, attends this school under the Unique Abilities Scholarship. Despite this program being designed to help children with disabilities receive the support they need, the school has informed us they plan to discharge him because they claim they are "not equipped" to provide the necessary support. This is deeply concerning, especially since they have been accepting state funds through the Unique Abilities Scholarship, which is meant for children with disabilities. According to the school director, they only take the scholarship to admit children with minor disabilities like peanut allergies, but they are unprepared for more complex disabilities like speech apraxia or Down syndrome. When I asked why they couldn’t hire additional staff or make adjustments to support students like my child, they said the class sizes are fixed, and they won’t provide extra help. This feels like discrimination, and it raises serious questions about how they are using the scholarship funds. To make matters worse, my fourth grader, who has been attending the academy for six years, was abruptly dismissed with no valid reason given. This decision came out of nowhere, and I believe it was in retaliation for raising concerns about their treatment of my younger child. If your child has special needs, or if you're considering this school for any child, I urge you to think twice. They are clearly not equipped or willing to provide the necessary support for children with disabilities, despite taking state funds to do so. Our experience has been heartbreaking, and no family should have to go through this.
I've been very impressed with this school. I know my daughter is learning a lot of the teachers are always so kind and are in constant communication with you. Highly recommend.
Amazing Preschool! Very fortunate to have my daughter there.
The teachers care and the students excell. Well worth the price.
