What Parents Say
Little Flowers receives mostly positive reviews praising the educational curriculum, staff qualifications, and nurturing environment. The center emphasizes developmental learning through engaging activities and maintains low teacher-student ratios. However, one parent reported an unexplained injury and concerns about staff professionalism and responsiveness to parental concerns.
There's a reason the owner has been in business for 13 years!! Depending on Your child's learning style and personality, they will have different needs. The first five years are especially crucial for physical, intellectual, and social-emotional development. Which is why they focus on teaching children how to learn and not just what to learn. The motto "learn something new every single day" has Stuck with my child who is in her elementary school's Gifted and Talented program along with so many of her classmates from Little Flowers. All staff are required to have a 4year degree in early childhood education. On top of that they are meticulously screened to ensure they contribute to the kind, loving, patient, caring, responsible, nurturing, and supportive environment that every child deserves and needs in their first years of development. They also manage to keep their teacher/student ratio low, further contributing to each child's needs for development. There's no wonder why they have a short waiting list for new children. They are always adding fun and interesting lessons to their curriculum. Special classes with outside instructors include visitors from the Gladys Porter Zoo, UTRGV Coastal Studies Lab, Robotics, Honey Bees, Rocketry, Airplanes, and many more subjects. The kids do not realize they are learning because it is so much fun! Miss Patty and her incredible staff have maintained a 4 star rating year after year! If you're not familiar with the Texas Rising Star program, it is a tri-level certification to encourage child care and early learning programs to attain progressively higher levels of quality. Children who attend schools with high ratings are in a better position to positively affect the physical, social-emotional, and cognitive development of children. Basically THE STATE OF TEXAS has deemed this business to far exceed the expectations of basic early childhood education and development. (Look it up, it's a big deal!) Miss Patty and her team truly are a blessing to the community and our youth. They promote parent involvement and assist with ways we can continue their efforts in the home as well as the classroom. I am beyond impressed with this school and feel so blessed that my child was able to attend this school, even I learned a lot from them! Thank you little flowers team!!
Just 3 weeks into school, my son is showing major progress. He loves going and the teachers are excellent. I love how monthly progress meetings are done to check in on how your little one is doing. I would most definitely recommend this child care center.
My best friends daughter attends this facility. She came home with a big mark on her body and no one could give an explanation for the mark. When asked to speak to the director, she was told by the director to take care of her own child or take her else where to receive child care. This daycare is extremely unprofessional! Staff is unbelievable! Do not take your children here.
