We got the first time haircut and it was wonderful. The staff was absolutely amazing with our son. He was a little scared at first but the staff kept him happy and entertained. The first time haircut come with a memories package to document the moment. Wonderful service and amazing staff.
Little Clippers recently took over Sharkey’s space and I couldn’t be happier. It’s been remodeled and looks great - we were in and out with a quality haircut at an affordable price. We will be back to see Alma, she’s very professional and great with kids!
Alma and Margarita did a great job with our 2-year-old and almost 4-year-old. Their calm, patient demeanor and efficiency made our kids’ first haircut outside the house surprisingly easy. Booking online for a same-day appointment was simple, and we were in and out fast. We arrived at 3:45 and walked out by 3:58. Overall, it was a great experience and absolutely worth the cost.
Absolutely love this place, been coming here since it was called “Sharkeys”. Miss Alma is the best, she is so patient and kind with my asd baby. She accommodated him so he would feel comfortable and safe with her. Been coming here for the past 8 years and I will continue. Thank you Miss Alma
I took my son to get a cut here and I must say I wasn’t pleased at all with the outcome. They were polite and respectful, I have not much to say about that side of things, the problem was with the haircut itself. I showed the lady that was going to do the cut a picture of how I’d like my son’s haircut to look like. We established that my son had fine hair and couldn’t be done with the clippers, so it needed to be done all with the shears. I was very specific about not wanting the front of the hair the bangs to be cut in a “straight” line as it doesn’t look good on him and ends up looking like the worst “bowl cut” ever. Nonetheless that’s what happened, the final outcome was nothing like the picture I showed her. It ended up looking super short and like I put a bowl on his head and just cut around it. After his brother and dad saw him and got quite upset about it, I ended up calling back and bringing him back to get it “fixed” as much as possible. She claimed she did what the picture indicated and “followed instructions “ when it was nothing of the sorts. My son’s hair is ruined for a while, she tried to mend it by texturizing his hair which couldn’t help it much to be quite honest. The most stressful part was that I was pretty specific about what I wanted and the outcome was noticeable different, and all she kept saying was “I followed the instructions”. Again not really. 1. What instructions? If I showed you a picture and the result was different. 2. I specified not to do something and she did it anyways. So I guess you didn’t follow instructions. 3. If you can’t do the haircut requested or you think it will not be possible to achieve the same result due to someone’s hair, the say so. I’m not a hairdresser, otherwise I wouldn’t be taking my son to get a haircut by you. I personally could not recommend someone to this place, and I feel bad because I absolutely love to support businesses like this, but this experience left much to be desired. Also read the reviews, don’t go off based on the 5 stars reviews you see but don’t have a detailed description because they do have a “promo” of leaving a review and gifting them a dinosaur. So just beware of that as well. If you end up going regardless, just make sure to specify and be as detailed as possible about what you want, make sure they do it exactly that way, but then again, at that point you might as well just cut it yourself and safe yourself the trouble, an upsetting situation, and some money too if it’s going to end up looking like your kid did it themselves.🤷🏻♀️
