Little Beginnings Childcare

Our daughter has attended Little Beginnings since she was four months old. As our first child, we were extremely nervous about daycare in general and toured many facilities before deciding on Little Beginnings. The place just felt "right". It truly became a home-away-from-home for our daughter. Her favorite teacher is still her infant teacher, Ms. Jeni, and the staff has been absolutely phenomenal. Communication is stellar. My emails and messages have never gone unread and phone calls have always been returned promptly. As for teacher-student engagement, our daughter comes home singing nursery songs neither myself or her father knew! It's evident that the teacher's go above and beyond with entertaining and teaching the children. We receive plenty of compliments about our child, one of the most frequent being a confusion on her age i.e. "she's what, three, three and a half now?" when in actuality, she's going on two. Little Beginnings has exceeded every expectation we had as our daughter is able to communicate well, is extremely social with new people she meets and already knows her ABC's and can count to 20. But most importantly, we know that she is SAFE and LOVED at this facility. We recommend Little Beginnings to every new parent in the area and will continue to use them if our family expands.

Four of my children attended this center for the last 3 years, from babies to toddler. I have gone to other centers prior to this and I have never felt more secure than I have with this team. I don’t even feel like it’s a “daycare” I know my kids are learning and enjoying and interacting happily with their friends. The owner Charlene and director Linda make a great team and they are amazing people. It’s hard to find a place in today’s world where you feel like the owners/management care more about the well being of people than “business” . I have found that here. I do not recommend Little Beginnings Daycare in Howell, NJ. My 2 yr old only attended for a month, and that was more than enough to realize this place is not what it claims to be. The first red flag is the overwhelming odor the moment you walk in. It smells unclean and poorly ventilated, like the place isn’t being sanitized nightly as they say. Within days of starting, my daughter’s eczema flared up badly, and it didn’t improve until I pulled her out. The flare up disappeared the next day after leaving, which speaks volumes. There’s also a serious lack of structure and supervision. Instead of circle time or educational activities, the kids are plopped in front of one of the teacher’s iPhones to watch videos. That’s unacceptable for a childcare setting, especially for toddlers who need interactive learning and routine. Honestly, this place seems more focused on collecting money than actually caring for the children. And after my experience, I’m convinced these glowing 5 star reviews online were either paid for or left by people who haven’t spent real time observing what goes on here. If you care about your child’s health, development, and safety, please look elsewhere. There are far better and cleaner daycare options in the area.

I recommend this daycare to everyone I know. My daughter has been coming here since she was 7 months old. She loves coming and seeing her friends and teachers and she has been taught a lot as well. She absolutely adores Ms. Linda the director. I couldn't ask for a better person to be in charge of this daycare. Everyone that works there is so loving and kind and they make sure your child is well taken care of.

Not only do I love this place, my son does too! You can tell the teachers really care about the students. When my son graduated from the infant room to the waddler/toddler room I was worried because I knew how much he loved his teachers, Ms. Jeni and Ms. Cristina. Then I saw his transition and how much he now loves his new teachers, Ms. Christine and Ms. Ailyn. Although, he really does seem to love all the teachers! Moreover, my son has asthma and they are all so good with keeping me up to date on when they notice any issues and making sure he gets his medicine. The director, Ms. Linda, is extremely attentive and passionate about children's development and care. They are flexible when needed and work with you and your child to make sure everyone is safe and happy. They have themed weeks and days that make school fun for everyone (I especially love Christmas in July week). My son has learned so much while he has been there. I have seen his imagination and his intelligence really grow at Little Beginnings and couldn't be happier with our choice in daycare. We shopped around for a while but ultimately went here because of how much it feels like home and like family. If you're considering them for your child, do it! The price is right, the care is right, and the love is there!
