What Parents Say
Little Angels Early Learning Academy #2 has highly polarized reviews. Positive reviews praise dedicated staff, strong educational programs, and individualized care, while negative reviews cite staffing issues, poor facility maintenance, inadequate supervision, and dismissive management regarding safety concerns.
My two kids have been attending Little Angels for several years combined, and I couldn’t be happier with the care and education they’ve received. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that each child is well taken care of and engaged in meaningful learning activities, even in the younger age groups. Mrs. Brenda, Ms. Linda, and Ms. Kim, who care for the infants, are absolutely spectacular. They not only love and care for the babies but also actively teach them essential skills, setting a strong foundation from the very beginning. It’s clear how much they truly care for the little ones. My oldest son attended from age 3 through pre-k, and they offered a wonderful program during the Covid closures for working parents. I honestly don’t know what I would’ve done without them during that time. I had to work and I had no place for him to go during the day. Thanks to the strong foundation he received at Little Angels, he started kindergarten already reading and has continued to excel, consistently making straight A’s. I truly owe his early success to the dedicated teachers and pre-k program at this daycare. My youngest is also thriving, learning new things every day like identifying animals, animal sounds, good manners, and is impressively advanced in his speech for his age. He is pretty attached to me, but he loves his teaches and doesn’t cry when I leave. The director and the entire staff treat all the children like their own, always looking out for their well-being and development.
STAY FAR AWAY, here is my poor sons experience! My 3 year old son was great for about 2 months, never had one issues with the teachers or kids and then his behavior changed like a light switch and suddenly he didn’t want to go to school anymore. The director/owner, her name is Cynthia to be exact, she tried to convince me that my 3 year old son had autism and told me I needed to get him tested because he didn’t know how to express his feelings HE IS 3 YEARS OLD! She told me that if he did have autism or a disability that I would need to find another facility that could handle my “disabled son” (By the way he doesn’t have autism, he is just a 3 year old boy). ALSO, when we started having these issues 6 weeks ago, he started coming home with bruises, bites, scratches and marks that were not being reported. When I brought this to their attention MULTIPLE times with pictures and text message evidence they disregarded it and said “we will look into it” or “we didn’t see it happen so we can’t do anything about it”. I asked them to show me camera footage and they made excuses saying the footage had a glare or just disregarded my comment. I asked them to show me and they never would show me the footage. After I constantly held them accountable to their poor actions and dismissal of these issues regarding my 3 year old son, they terminated my sons care along with his little brother for “disregard to their policies and procedures”. Also, I should mention they are operating severely understaffed, that is why she supposedly “suspended my son” on 09/18/23 the day before she terminated his care on 09/19/23. There are very shady things going on at this facility and we are supposed to trust these people with our children, which are our worlds! Find another place with better quality staff and owners if you don’t want to have your children experience these sort of things. I will never know if my son was being abused or neglected and treated poorly but I pray that this never happens to my son or any other child at that facility again! Thank you for reading. God bless.
Love little angels! All of the teachers are fantastic with my son, and got to know him very quickly. You can tell how much they care about the kids. It feels very personal and not like the run of the mill chain type daycares where you're really not sure what you are going to get. The director and her daughter are easy to work with and made the enrollment process easy and made me feel very comfortable leaving my sin in there care. I see a long future with little angles.
One star is too much for this school. My kids have only been going there for 2 weeks and That was too long. The staff are always running around so confused and busy. You can never get anyone to help you. My first day they changed the price on me even though I confirmed 3 times before my kids started and then I was told that you have to be on auto pay only so I gave the lady my card to save and apparently she didn’t do that because I get a text from the director the following week at 8pm saying I need to pay ASAP. The door lock is always messed up and no one is ever at the front desk. Every morning I had to wait several times for someone else to show up or call in to get them to open the door. The log in and out screen is also always down. No one even gets there until about 8am so I just drop all my kids off in the back room to sit on a dirty floor and watch tv. I never even got to meet any of my kids teachers because they only work like 8-3 or something like that and every day they are in different rooms. My oldest daughter was suppose to go on field trips which they changed and cancelled so much. Then they post a sign on the front door stating they were not responsible for children injured during field trips. When I tried to ask Cynthia about it her reply is we aren’t responsible for medical bills if kids get hurt. As a parent that is really terrible to here. Just the simple fact that they have to post that makes me worried that kids get hurt often and that my kids aren’t safe. They lost my 3 year olds blanket In the first week and she was using someone else’s blanket even when I told them that was not here’s. The afternoon teacher just said she doesn’t know where it is because they switched rooms and that’s the one she was given. Nothing else. The infant room is an absolutely disaster. The teachers don’t communicate at all just hand me my son and walked away. He apparently had a fever and they just wrote it on his paper didn’t call me or notify me when I picked him up. Then they sent him home with other shorts and I asked them about it and the afternoon teacher didn’t know what happened. The next day I asked the morning teacher and she said he had an accident but they don’t know where they put his shorts and that she will tell the afternoon teacher to give it to me. I go to pick up the kids and they hand me a bag with his shorts in it and it is completely covered in dried up poop. I had to throw them away. It was disgusting. One Friday I even had to go pick my kids up because They has to shut the power down to replace some wires that apparently were incorrect or failed inspection. Every time I tried to talk to Cynthia about issues she just kept changing the subject to the fact that everyone just loves my kids and they are such sweet babies. Never tried to acknowledge any complaints or concerns I had. This school is a disaster and I will not leave my kids here ever again!!!
LAELA in WIllis is AMAZING! My (1 and only) son started there at 8 weeks old when the center first opened its doors. Have there been hiccups? Yes, but the owner and the ladies working there will ALWAYS correct the issue and make it right. The owner and employees truly care about the children that go there, I have never worried about my son while he is there- I know that he is in good, caring, & loving hands. They have taught my son so much in the almost 2 years he has been there. His manners are amazing and that is all thanks to LAELA. If something happens at the center or your child has a fever, etc. you will always be notified. I don't know why a blatant lie would be left in a prior review... If you are on the fence about this place please go visit and you will clearly see how happy the kids are and how well they know the children that go there. Also- how can you blame an emergency electrical issue on the daycare? Things happen! I'd rather my child be safe in my personal A/C versus burning up in a dark & hot daycare building while it is being fixed. If you are going to be ugly to the employees or think that you are going to get away with treating these ladies- who watch your kids, all day, every day- with disrespect, please go somewhere else. They should not have to deal with disrespectful and condescending parents. God Bless Little Angels and all that work there. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart! (And Maverick's!!) P.S. I live and work in Huntsville but choose to drive to Willis EVERY DAY to ensure that my son has the best care and I have 100% found that with Little Angels!
