What Parents Say
Little Adventures receives mostly positive reviews praising staff quality, communication, and child happiness. However, two negative reviews raise concerns about security procedures during pickup and alleged gender bias in treatment.
We love this daycare! Every single staff member is amazing and each one takes pride in their work. I always know what is going on because they communicate regularly and respond to my messages immediately. My kids are happy and they love it spending their days here!
I would not ever recommend this day care. A family member had to pickup for me that was on approved list but had never picked up before and no one asked who she was, who she was picking up , verified she was allowed to pick up or asked for ID. Basically tells me anyone could walk in as she did not even need the code someone let her in. Then was told he was not ready for 4K and was not recommended to start him, so we did not. Well when the issue came up we pulled him and called to ask the director of 4K about enrolling him she said absolutely enroll and he could have started in the fall with her telling us that he would have been where he needs to be before kindergarten started. Well we started him and his teacher told us he is ready for school in the fall. He advanced more in 2 months with an experienced and knowledgeable teacher - I have seen more improvement in ability to write and recognize Letter, numbers basic skills then he did the last summer and fall combined. With an experienced, dedicated, patient and knowledgeable teacher to guide him flourished and will be going to kindergarten next year! This is not a great daycare at all.
I have been a satisfied customer of Little Adventures since a few months after it was first opened in 2008, and over the years have had my 3 kids attend the facility from infancy until they were ready to enter kindergarten. This daycare facility is simply amazing. I've had my kids at two other facilities prior to coming to River Falls, and finding Little Adventures was like discovering someone had listened to all my complains about previous experiences, and then created Little Adventures to show me it can be done right. Their teachers are qualified, and and most either have degrees in early childhood development, or are students at a University working toward teaching degrees. They grew with our family, and when one of our kids developed a special need, like a gluten allergy, they went out of thier way to make sure she had the ability to have safe food, and a safe learning environment. I can tell they've do the same with others, as the facility is also nut free. They have a cook who creates meals largely from scratch. The playground uses materials like sand and wood chips, rather than shredded rubber. I still cannot believe a prior daycare had shredded rubber! The billing the provide is accurate and timely. The older ones, now 12 and 15, still rave about their favorite teachers. They don't sit the kid down in from of a TV or Movies to keep them docile and entertained. They give them projects and games instead. The care and love of the job that Jackie(Owner) and all of those who work at the facility show in how they conduct themselves and how they treat the kids is evident every time I step foot in the facility. They became part of our family. Above all else, all of my kids loved being there.
Our whole family loves Little Adventures! We have been sending two of our children here since 2011. The staff is fantastic, the building is happy and beautiful, and our boys have truly loved going here.
Lovely place, teachers are amazing, it's very clean, great learning environment.
