I would never recommend this place for anyone if they think they’re going to have to be there for more than 2 weeks. I lasted 3 months before it became too mentally draining and emotionally distorting. I was really excited when I first started. Everyone was understanding and seemed very eager to help. Over the span of a week I had already made good friends with the other students which I was very excited for. But within the first weeks I had already noticed cracks in the system. The teacher was very hypocritical, always getting after us for simple things while doing those exact things. The staff was always treating us like we were less than them. Between eating lunch 3 minutes after lunch ended, checking our phone because we had an emergency, touching up mascara during break, or conversing during a break we were yelled at. A shadow teacher /teacher in training came in immediately very disrespectful, constantly making sly remarks about women (in a room and profession full of women) and being extremely patronizing to the point 2 students were so overwhelmed they started crying. Of course he never once got in trouble instead the 2 students got in trouble for “creating a scene”. Getting accused of saying and doing things I never once did then never getting to defend ourselves or give our side of the story. It genuinely feels like they didn’t want the students to be true friends, constantly trying to pit us against each other. Overall this last 3 months have been so mentally draining, feeling like no matter how nice, respectful, and perfect I’d be, none of it mattered. I’m extremely disappointed as I had extremely high hopes when I got there. Pretty much every single staff worker there has some type of hatred in their hearts. I feel bad for those who enroll not knowing what will go down.
