I've been living here going on 7 years I have 3 bedroom. I can honestly say if you have an issue Herrington Mills team makes it there business to correct any and every concern you have. ( my experience) Now you do have the neighbors that act like they're not use to living in a nice area, whom make it hard for the ones who just want to live cleanliness and peace. Over all I love living here. Yes indeed I recommend Herrington Mill!!! OH AND ALSO THERE ARE NO BUGS!!!LMBO
Back in 2010 until 2011 I resided at Herrington Mill Apartments. The rent was only $700 with utilities included for a one bedroom apartment. Gated community & income based especially for students. It was overall a quiet apartment homes. Less than 5 minutes from where I work at the mall which used to be Discover Mills Outlet Mall. I had to break the contract so I didn’t get my deposit back.
Don’t submit a tour via there site. You have to call and schedule a tour. I found that out yesterday when went to my scheduled appt for a tour. I scheduled this appt on the 29th of august, I received email and texts about my touring days before. Just to walk in yesterday and be told that 1. The lady that does the touring is out for the day. 2. Touring Appts have to be made via phone and she doesn’t know why the website gives that option. The fact that I took time off work and had a list of apts to view in one day. Um yeah I want be returning due to the inconveniencing
The managers Lashawn and Lee treated my neighbor horribly and retaliated against him when he questioned them about their antics 6 months ago. The apartment was infected with roaches in the wall when he moved in. The kitchen floor was unstable due to the prior tenant, water damage under the kitchen sink welcoming more roaches! Lashawn is extremely argumentative vindictive and retaliated against this young single father. Newsflash! Everyone doesn’t like roaches or nasty apartments! This case went to court due to false allegations stating this guy owed back rent. The judge sided with this young man 100%. Lashawn & Lee still put a negative remark on his credit report in retaliation and their upper management does not care nor interested in the horrible behavior of these two in management! They’re dishonesty, retaliation with unethical practices is sick!
I’ve been living at Herrington Mill for years and it’s honestly night and day compared to other places I’ve stayed—especially The Signature, which was an absolute mess in every way. Here? The property is clean, maintenance gets things done, and the staff actually treat you like a human being. The main thing holding this place back from being 5 stars is some of the neighbors and how sometimes there are questionable people that move in and break a lot of the rules at the property. A few don’t clean up after their dogs or have them with no leash walking around and can get hostile if you report them to management as I learned the hard way. But if you keep to yourself and avoid the drama, it’s a peaceful, livable space even despite what happened last year with someone who got murdered. Don't let that deter you from giving this place a fair shake. What really sets Herrington Mill apart is that it’s one of the few places that accepts lower income residents and families and still keeps a decent standard of living. And believe me, it's like a 5-star hotel compared to other apartments and even houses I've lived in before. It’s not perfect, but it’s stable—and that’s worth a lot. Also, if the gates consistently worked and were upgraded to something more modern, that would be a step in the right direction as well. Just vet new people who move in with greater scrutiny better. Lastly, just make sure that the stray cat population is also kept under control and that more effort is directed towards making sure people aren't out there with their dogs unleashed.
