Linda Beach Cooperative Play School

We have been part of Linda Beach Preschool since 2018, and it has been such a gift for our family. Our third child is currently enrolled, and our two older children have already graduated from the program. They are now thriving in elementary school thanks to the foundation they built here. It was important for me to stay actively involved in my children’s education. The cooperative model at Linda Beach has been perfect - I get to volunteer in the classroom, participate in their learning, and truly be part of their school experience. The part-time schedule has given us the flexibility we needed with multiple school drop-offs while honoring the fact that young children still need downtime and naps while their little bodies are growing so quickly. The program is play-based, which I believe is the best introduction to school life. It gently teaches children how to interact with peers, build social and emotional awareness, and follow guidance from a teacher, while also preparing them academically for kindergarten and beyond. Even with Universal TK available, I chose to keep my youngest here instead. The part-time, play-based environment is such a gentle, thoughtful way to transition into the school years, and I didn’t want to rush him into a full-time schedule before it was truly necessary. Linda Beach has been the right choice for all three of my children, and I’m so grateful for the community and the program. Highly recommend!

Linda Beach has been a perfect fit for our child and our family. It is a lovely community of parents, wonderful staff, and a perfect balance of learning and play for the children. The additional gymnastics and spanish supplements are a bonus that we didn't anticipate but are very appreciative of. We are grateful for this caring environment during a crucial developmental time for our son. We highly recommend if you are looking for a cooperative preschool.

Linda Beach is a wonderful place for preschool. Play based with teachers who are amazing and creative. A great place for preschoolers to grow in confidence and be ready for Kindergarten. As a family, we loved the community that LBCP gave us. We were new to the Bay area and we're able to meet some of our closest friends through the school.

My daughter has been going to LBCP for two years and has grown tremendously during that time. The teachers, curriculum, play-based learning and parent community have given my daughter the emotional, social and academic readiness she has needed to smoothly transition into Kindergarten. The teachers at LBCP are like no others and offer a loving, empathetic and patient environment where all children feel welcome and truly enjoy coming to school. Extracurricular activities include gymnastics and Spanish classes every week. Even with our daughter being eligible for T-K, after much deliberation we decided to keep her at LBCP for another year given how much growth she was experiencing and how happy she has been. Our son will begin in the Fall and we can say with confidence that Linda Beach has been a wonderful experience for our children and highly recommend it for others seeking preschool.

We chose Linda Beach Cooperative Preschool because it is play-based; something our family greatly believes in. My daughter loves going to school and wishes a 5-day curriculum was offered. She comes home singing in Spanish, reciting rhymes, teaching me about animals that she's exposed to during visits from the Junior Center, the list goes on and on. After relocating to the Bay Area from Arizona, we wanted a place where our daughter could feel comfortable immediately, and start thriving right away. She has done both, and for that we are so grateful. I only wish there was a 5-day Pre-K curriculum and/or after school care - 3 hours just doesn't seem enough for her! =)
