With missions completed long ago in faraway places, by our brothers and sisters in defense of the flag, those who visit here seek closure to the war... For them, it's not a battle for the future of our liberties, but a fight for their very survival. Torn, broken, and suffering—let them be not now forgotten. Good people work here. God bless them. *I hear the cafeteria could use an upgrade.
They literally starved my Grandpa for 2 days, refused to hydrate him through IV or give him water. They said he was going to pass away. When my mother realized the IV was never connected. They said what was the point if he was going to die. She argued with them to hook the IV line and they finally did. Hes been "terminal" for 3 days now and they refuse to let him come home to pass because the ambulance is not equipped with an oxygen tank...which is absurd! They have been negligent and ignoring his care because they are "experts and know better" Do not leave your elderly loved ones alone, do not trust these doctors. We thought they were caring for him but ignored everything she told them about his care and practically worsened his condition and all they said was well the damage is done we cant do anything about it. Their explanations were never clear. We are currently still fighting to have them let us bring him home. If he is going to pass away its on the Lords time, not when the doctors say. This is no way to treat a Veteran!!
I called the VA East Orange to get some info for my father. I spoke to Erica in eligibility. A couple of days after the call I went to the location to speak to Erica in person. What a pleasant and seamless experience! Dealing with these entities can often be a nightmare. Much appreciation to Erica at booth #5 for her time and professionalism!
The way our war heroes are treated at this Veterans Hospital is shameful. From the moment you walk in, the people who are supposed to help with the wheelchairs are terribly inattentive and rude. They talk badly about the doctors and nurses who are actually the ones who do the work. And don't even get me started on the receptionists—they're detestable and ignore the patients. No veteran wants to go to this hospital.
A hospital that gives free healthcare to us Veterans, how can you not give it 5 stars? I have never had any issues in my many, many visits here to various departments. My only quarrel is the small parking spaces in the parking lot!
