Lil Punkin Childcare

Taylor and all of her staff have been amazing with our son. He genuinely loves all the ladies! It was such a relief to find a place that loved, nurtured, and poured into our little guy after having a bad experience with another center before finding Little Punkin. Their curriculum also gets the kiddos ready to start Kindergarten, and if they see your child struggling with anything they'll let you know so you can help your child at home while the facility continues to work with them too. These ladies are amazing and truly have a heart for littles. Our little guy is sad to be leaving Little Punkin to go to Kindergarten. Don't be hesitant! Give this daycare center a try! I'm glad we did!

This center lacks appropriate intervention skills and will scream at your child, and encourage self-harming behaviors. I witnessed Thelma screaming at my child, telling her to "Pull your own Dam hair". Then turn around and LIE to my face saying “I don’t know why she pulls her own hair when I tell her to stop pulling others.” This was just the FINAL straw and why we unenrolled her. Our daughter STILL parrots the words like "I bad" and "go cry in the corner". Things we HAVE NEVER said to her. but when we asked who did ... she answered "Thelma" Our child attended for almost 2 years at Lil Punkins and the only time she struggled was the two periods she was under Thelma's care. Other teachers reported Thelma's inability to work with our child saying if she did anything wrong Thelma "restricted her movement, and ability to play". Furthermore, our developmental therapist reported Thelma’s unrealistic expectations for children this young. The Owner and Director while they stated their support or encouragement that the situation would be handled I never received even an apology, but infact just retaliated to by saying our expectations of the center were too high and that it has become an issue to "Appease your family”. WHY? becuase we ask questions. Literally, we asked why her face wasn't being wiped down, or why she had lunch stuck on her shirt after nap. Even after I had said I was picking her up early for an appt. WHEN IN THE PAST THEY OFFERED TO CHANGE HER, setting the expectation that was sort of normal... Telling me not to dress her in nice clothes.. the niceness of the clothes isn't the issue it's that there is food all over them that let her sleep in. I was wondering why we did not change her into one of the 3 outfits you require we leave at the center. AND Heaven forbid when an incident did happen we asked what occurred surrounding the issue so we could work to help support her in those moments. That made us defensive, and unwilling to communicate. When in fact we asked for more communication multiple times and where told we are NOT required to give any daily updates once a child turns two. Which I was told is not the law at all by Child Care Licensing. They also pushed us to enroll her in Pre K 3 which she attends once a week with NO issues and the agreement is that we would allow her full-time post-adoption voucher to stay in place so on breaks she could attend Lil Punkins just for them to enroll another child and tell us ours could not attend while taking the full-time voucher. So thankful we found another center that she is thriving in. That has the same ratio of teachers to kids but still finds a way to send full updates every day via Brightwheel like Lil Punkins did for the 1st like two weeks.

There are so many great things to say about this place, Taylor and her staff are truly a great group of girls and I am glad I get the opportunity to take my daughter there. They have been super kind and always there to help when we need them! I always recommend this daycare to others. There will always be a Karen out there to put a bad review but don't let there negative comments swade you for seeing there professional, inviting and good quality childcare they give each child! 10 out of 10 would recommend

Lil Punkin childcare is an outstanding and amazing daycare. Taylor and all of her staff go above and beyond for the children. It is always so clean when I go drop my son off and pick him up. Thankful for them!

My kids love going to daycare here! My oldest loves Ms. Thema and she is amazing with her, she helped me potty train my oldest and I had been trying for 2 years to potty train her. Ms. Taylor and her crew are just amazing absolutely love them!
