Had a similar insistent as Michael did , another reviewer. Had my son there start of this year. I came to pick him up and some other gal that wasn’t even working in his room came up and told me “did anyone tell you what happened?” Apparently he stopped breathing on the play ground , mix opinions as too his lips being blue. Was never notified when this occurred! We pulled him out immediately and I had to take two weeks off of work to relocate him. They never owned up or self reported to the state.
We started at Lil Pirates at the beginning of the year with much hesitancy due to our experiences with childcare leading up to this point. The staff at Lil Pirates has been an absolute godsend for my children. My daughter (who was once labeled the troubled child at our last daycare) is thriving. These teachers take the time to get on her level, challenge her, comfort her, and are always happy to see both kiddos. As a single parent, I feel peace dropping my children off everyday because I know they are not only getting exceptional care and love, but they are also learning more than they have before!
We’ve had multiple incidents at the daycare, but this one stand out the most. My son fell and hit his head and we were never notified. I didn’t notice until we had left the daycare! Reached out to the daycare that evening, they admitted he did fall and hit his head and they just forgot to tell us Took my son to the ER and he had a massive hematoma and a mild concussion!
I can not recommend Lil Pirates enough! The directors and teachers go above and beyond to make sure your child is cared for and create a positive atmosphere. My 2 year old has learned so much in her class! Great communication always. They have cameras in the classroom and an app on your phone so you can check in on your little one. The owners are also fantastic and visit often. We 💙 our daycare!
As a first time Mom I was so nervous sending my son to daycare, but since finding Lil Pirates I couldn’t be more thankful for them. I feel like when I drop my son off I’m dropping him off with family. Everyone is so sweet & you can genuinely tell they love the kiddos! They have cameras, Facebook pages, and some awesome technology that always keeps you informed and in the know about your child. I 10/10 recommend little pirates hands down! 🥰
