What Parents Say
Life 4 Kidz receives highly polarized reviews. Several parents praise the caring staff, family-like atmosphere, and good communication, while others report serious concerns including inadequate supervision, unsafe conditions, poor care practices, and unresponsive leadership in certain classrooms.
My son was enrolled at this daycare since he was an infant. We loved it and thought of the teachers and staff as second family. However, when he moved up to the 3’s room and the center took on new leadership, it was nothing but chaos and disorganization. I didn’t know from day to day what classroom my son was in due to the constant understaffing/not in ratio, extreme turnover of teachers, and the continuous moving of staff around. Within just 1 day of my son attending a new daycare this week, he is happier, constantly engaged, and is surrounded by amazing team of staff and teachers who are fully supported by leadership. While my son and I loved all of his teachers the many years he attended, this daycare has gone downhill since new administration took over. I had the pastor’s daughter (who I never met, who wasn’t his teacher or staff, and didn’t even really interact with my son) call me at work to come pick up my son immediately because of behaviors but produced zero documentation. I asked for a copy of the behavior policy and was told I was going to get one and never did. This used to be a top notch daycare center. But now, I wouldn’t recommend this place to any parent. If you are considering this center for your child, run-don’t walk, the other way.
The 3-year-old potty training class at this daycare is a nightmare. We had a teacher directly tell us that she didn’t feel like cleaning up after our child and was “ready to get rid of him.” Such a statement is deeply unprofessional and unacceptable for someone working with children. A teacher without a genuine care for children should not be in this profession. To my knowledge, this individual is still employed, which is concerning. Most of the teachers are great, but this one needs a reality check.
I’m in healthcare and have tried very hard to work crazy shifts that kept all three of our children out of daycare full time. However, when we moved to the area, it was unavoidable and reluctantly, we placed our kiddos here. Our youngest is in the 2’s class and the oldest 2 attend aftercare. I was super skeptical at first given the horror stories I’ve heard about most day cares, but after 6 months of regular attendance I can wholeheartedly confirm that Life4kidz is amazing. They treat my kids like family; the new director is the sweetest, literally an angel. The Pastor and his wife are very involved and genuinely care about the families who send their children here. We’ve had no sicknesses since starting (knock on wood), or incidents to speak of. We’ve been truly blessed by the staff here and are quite pleased, along with our kiddos.
Life4Kidz is a great daycare. My kid absolutely loves being here. He comes home with artwork every day! They make me feel at ease knowing he is in good care with the amount of communication they give on a day to day basis. I would recommend Life4Kidz to any parent looking for a daycare that is also like a second home for their kid.
Don’t send your kids here - specifically writing about the 2-4year old rooms. Since pulling my son out of the Life4kidz daycare my fridge is covered in art work, my son doesn’t come home wanting to watch TV because that is what they did all day at Life4kidz. Since pulling my son from life 4kidz he comes home and tells me everything he has learned - and he has learned more in the past month at his new daycare than he did in the nearly 1 year he was at Life4kidz. This daycare is not education based, it isn’t play based - it isn’t based on anything developmentally appropriate for little ones. More than 10 times during pick-up or drop-off I would hear teachers yelling and screaming at children under the age of 3-I can’t even begin to imagine what it looked like outside of those times. More times than I can count teachers were on their phones. They will say their tv policy is after 5pm, but I often times picked my kid up between 3-4 and the kids would be sat in front of a TV. Every time I picked my son up he would be crying of thirst and begging for water - I thought maybe he just played hard - come to find out that they wouldn’t give the kids anything to drink when they asked. I picked my son up from Life4kidz and he told me his butt hurt - they hadn’t wiped him at all. Towards the end of our time at Life4kidz there was an incident where my son was sent home with large bruises across his neck. There was an incident report, but not a single teacher, not even the teacher who filled out the incident report, could tell me who was in the classroom at the time of my son being choked by another child. Coincidentally the video from the cameras was not working. Don’t even get me started on the amount of times I dropped my son off when teacher to kid ratios were way off - 17-1, 16-1, 19-1 - and when I brought up ratios I was told by the pastor of this church that I was a liar. Even though neither the pastor or the director were present at the daycare until 9am. My son is a different kid since leaving Life4kidz, and I won’t be able to appropriately convey the positive changes going elsewhere has made on his entire personality within this review. I wish more than anything in the world I could take back the time I sent my son to this awful daycare. I wish more than anything in the world that I hadn’t given up spots at other daycares to send my son here. I can’t take back the time I sent my son here, but hopefully this will reach other parents, and they can choose a different daycare.
