I toured the YMCA. Belong to another gym, looking for more options. The Y has many options at the facility-2 indoor pools, classes in yoga & Pilates, racquetball courts, pickleball, cardio & free weights. Clean, 24 hour access to some areas, sauna & steam rooms, staffed 5am-9pm weekdays. Glad to learn that if I'm out of town (snowbirds, etc ), I can use other YMCAs if they are a national affiliate!! The price monthly is slightly more (less than $5) than I pay for my current gym but I have access to much more.
Really great staff, decent facilities. Nothing spectacular but it’s pretty good and gets the job done, I can’t complain. Only complaint would be the bathrooms and how they could use some air fresheners or something lol.
I like going to the YMCA because I love to be active and exercise and build muscle to stay healthy and get in shape and I love going to the indoor pool and the gym to play basketball and walk around on the track and to do some running
My YMCA the place I learned to swim and play my favorite game volleyball and so much more. My Y in NEWARK Ohio 🇺🇸 This is me rolling by on the bike trail that begins at the Y and goes all the way to Johnstown, Ohio near the location of the New Intel superconductor facility being built here in Licking County.
Dropped my 14 year old off to play indoor basketball with his friends, I gave him my card to pay since I didn’t have cash and they denied him entry because the card didn’t “Belong to him” he tried to tell them it’s his moms card and I was on the phone they told him it’s “Illegal”. We have gone many times and paid by card with no issues. Whoever was running the front desk must enjoy profiling kids to feel in control. We canceled our membership a while back because they were constantly closing down rooms. A day pass now costs $15. Pretty steep for a literal gym.
